We at Bucknam Family / Sugar Shack Racing are always interested
in working with sponsors for our racing teams. At this time, we are
offering you the opportunity to advertise your business on our cars.
Remember, our cars are seen by thousands of people all over the country,
and now also millions of people via the internet. Advertising your business with us is beneficial to all parties involved.
What we offer is relatively cheap advertising that reaches an amazingly
diverse subject group. Your advertising dollars help us by defraying the
cost of traveling to the event, purchase necessary tools and parts, and
pay the entry fees. They help you to expose your business to potential
customers who are not being reached by “conventional” advertising. Demolition Derbies are crowd pleasers.
We have never seen an event that hasn't had a sell-out crowd. The
spectator capacity at these events is usually around two thousand people
or more. Advertising with us not only gets your company
a spot on our cars, it also gets your name into the local papers, periodicals,
and in some cases, television. We have made appearances on ABC, TNN,
and the Discovery Channel. Our major events are public interest material,
therefore we find it very easy to get stories into the newspaper. At this time, we are focusing our efforts on
the D.E.N.T. National Championship. Our drivers, Steve Bucknam Jr.,
Chuck Bucknam, and Larry Bucknam, have already qualified for this event
by winning the D.E.N.T. Eastern Region Championship "Feature Mad Dog" Award,
and three qualifying heats, respectively. The National Championship
event this year will take place in Indianapolis, Indiana at the Indianapolis
Speedrome. This event is one of the largest of its kind. It
compares to the Super Bowl in its importance to demolition derby drivers. We are happy to work with any offer which you
may have for us. Although preferred, not all sponsors provide us
with money. Some sponsors provide services for us in exchange for
advertising on our cars. This is a great help as well. Thank
