PARTS OF ACOUSTIC GUITAR :

 

 

1.    HEAD :

                  The top portion of the guitar having 6 tuning keys.

 

2 . TUNING KEYS :

                                There are 6 peg like keys-3 on the right and 3 on the left of the head-to tighten the strings.

 

3 . NUT :

               Nut is a strip in the lowest portion of the head to hold the crossing over of the strings for the adjustment in the peg.The nut forms the basic point of the notes of playing.

 

4 . FINGER BOARDS :

                                      The wooden piece provided with the bass strip (frets) to ascertain the positioning of notes is called the finger board.

 

5 . FRETS :

                    The brass strips provided at the top of the finger board for showing the points of the notes are called the frets.

 

6 . SOUND HOLE :

                                A round hole in the sound board. The sound which comes from the sound board to the belly reverbrates through this hole.

 

7 . STRINGS :

                        The six strings of different gauges provided for playing on with the striker.

 

8 . BRIDGE :

                      The raised small elongated pyramid like piece pass the strings over with a nut attached for tightening the strings.

Born on 21^st April, Alain UAE, being a shy and shabby freak  throughout his  school life got an acoustic guitar after four years from the day when he decided to become a guitarist.At that time he didn�t thought that this acoustic guitar could turn out to be his expression of intimacy.

In 2001, after getting in to high school Jahanzeb decided to do somethingexciting.So finally he  came up with a band �saaz�.The band comprising Sunil Francis(Lead vocalist), Gibran(Keyboards), and Jahanzeb (Acoustic and Electric Guitars).At 17-day vacation to Pakistan, Jahanzeb took basic lesoons from Naeem Khan.When he gets back to UAE,he started exploring the deep horizons of the string intrument on his own with Suni Francis.

Having deep rock infuences like Junoon, Strings, Metallica, Ledzepplin, Fuzon, Karavan, Jahanzeb is still busy exploring the era of western classical and rock music.

Jahanzeb has played guitars with many young talents like Sunil Francis, Shiju Philip, Justin George , and also Adil Yaqoob.

In  the meanwhile, Jahanzeb continued playing in his band �SAAZ� at some of the biggest schools in Alain like �ALAIN ENGLISH SPEAKING SCHOOL�, �AL-ETIHAAD�, �OUR OWN ENGLISH HIGH SCHOOL�, �PAKISTANI ISLAMIA HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL�.

Jahanzeb have a dream of fusing rock music into classical music.

 

Influences:

                 Junoon, strings, aaroh, amir zaki, fuzon, najam shiraz, karavan and besides all Jahanzeb loves sufi rock and eastern classical music.

 

Jahanzeb�s ambition in life is to do something energy & soulful music and after listening to his music, one can say that he is here to succeed and stay.
