A bird flies over the low hanging towers of Tolaria swiftly banking narrowly missing a blast of blue light. Darkmen sits at a tree playing target practice with his creations. He shoots at the bird again and it freezes the bird midair. He then waves his hand and the bird starts to fly again. ���� �Hey Darkmen.� A voice calls from nowhere. Darkmen looks around the courtyard and sees no one. ���� �Who is there,� he calls out �is that you Cat?� A figure steps out from behind a tree and Darkmen recognizes her. ���� �Jhoira, it is nice to see you.� He says pleasantly. She walks toward him all the while her green robe floats in the gentle breeze. ���� �Same to you,� she says as she walks up to him. Her face is formed into a smile but her eyes show she had lost the flame she once had. ���� �What is the matter?� he asks worriedly. ���� �It�s nothing,� she says as she turns to the coming night �its just that we haven�t from the Vengeance in days; I am getting worried.� ���� �Don�t worry Jhoira they will be al right.� ���� �You are right Darkmen, we have more things to worry about; like the Phyrexians take over in North Jamurra.� A loud explosion shakes the ground throwing Jhoira off balance. ���� �What was that?� she asks. ���� �I don�t know but lets find out.� He replies. They run to the door and open it cautiously. They look through the corridor and see moggs running to attack a group of students. One of the students� uses a spell on the closest mogg and flower begin to pop out all over its skin. The mogg scratches himself trying to tear the flowers from its skin but in doing so he pulled chunks of his flesh out with it. Another mogg begins to sneeze and it flies into another group of moggs knocking them all to the floor. The other moggs reach the group of students and start hammering them with their pikes and axes. ���� �We have to help them!� Jhoira cries to Darkmen. Darkmen closes his eyes and begins to cast a legendary spell known to all. He opens his eyes and throws the blue balls of flame into the mogg frenzy. The blue flame begins to cover one of the moggs. It screams in pain and slams into another mogg and ignites it. Soon all of the moggs are either dead or withering from the fire. Darkmen and Jhoira run to the students to see if there were any survivors. There were only three Cat, Urdrag, and Dakkon. ���� �Are you three okay?� Jhoira says as she kneels down to them. ���� �I believe so.� Dakkon says sitting up. A horde of phyrexians crash through the main hallway doors and trample towards the startled. ���� �RUN!� Cat cries and starts to run toward the stairs. They rest of them begin to fall her up the stairs when a giant fireball crashes through the stairway wall trapping them in the stairway. ���� �Stand back.� Dakkon says as he casts a spell. Tides of Giant Cockroaches appear and begin to rush down the stairs. The cockroaches crash into the group of Phyrexians knocking them down the steps. ���� �Now is our chance to get away.� Urdrag says. He runs down the stairs, rushes past the group of dead phyrexians, and disappears from the others sight. The group follows keeping a watchful eye out for more of the beasts. Dakkon grabs onto a door handle and opens the door and finds Nick the archmage of Tolaria standing there at his desk. He turns around and smiles at them, an eerie gleam in his eyes. ���� �Well hello students, what can I help you with.� Nick asks cheerfully. ���� �If you hadn�t noticed there are Phyrexians in the school.� Darkmen said urgently. ���� �You don�t say.� Nick says as he turns toward the window. ���� �Shouldn�t we get out of here?� Jhoira asks. ���� �You are not going anywhere!� Nick says turning around; his eyes a fiery red. The five students run to the door and try to open it but it wont budge. They pull on the door with all of their might but it was no use. ���� �You can keep trying but it is no use.� Nick says sitting down to watch them struggle. ���� �Soon Lord Reaper will be here and he will make you his slaves.� The window is thrown open and a chilling blast of air fills the room. A shadowy figure steps through the window and into the room with a long robe dragging on the floor. ���� �Hello, master.� Nick says to the shadowy figure. The robe falls to the floor and Reaper appears. In one claw he holds a black metallic sphere, the other is shaped like a giant hook. ���� �Nick hold them while I get my device ready.� Reaper commands. Nick walks around his desk and steps toward them but freezes mid stride. Reaper looks up and sees that Nick has stopped in his tracks. ���� �What are you doing?� Reaper asks to the frozen Nick. Nick begins to slowly move again, the effects of the spell beginning to wear off. ���� �Darkmen do it again.� Jhoira cries. ���� �I�m trying but it isn�t working.� Nick arrives and grabs Dakkon around the neck. ���� �I have one master.� Nick says. Reaper floats toward them holding hi sphere in front of him. Reaper is only feet away when the door explodes throwing everything into shambles. Glacian and Tiny Tim walk into the room and find Reaper and his device lying on top of the desk. ���� �I will kill you for this!� Nick cries and charges at Glacian. Glacian flicks his hand and Nick is thrown against the wall knocking him out. Glacian turns back toward the desk and finds that Reaper is gone. ���� �Damn it, he must have gone out the window.� Glacian yells. ���� �He�s coming to.� Jhoira yells. Tiny Tim casts a spell and a spell proof cage appears around Nick. ���� �That should hold him.� Tiny Tim says as he rubs his hands together. ���� �Are you three all right?� Glacian asks them. ���� �Yeah, but how did you find us?� Darkmen asks curiously. ���� �Well,� Tiny Tim begins �Your friend Urdrag found us outside when the battle was over, he said that four of his friends disappeared inside of the academy while following him.� ���� �We waited for you for about 20 minutes but you didn�t show up so we came to search for you.� Glacian completes. ���� �Where is Urdrag then?� Jhoira questions. ���� �Well while searching for you we stumbled upon a Phyrexian portal, their was a brief battle and we were about to leave but the Praetor Delver grabbed onto Urdrag and before we could do anything he dragged him through the portal. � Glacian says sadly. ���� �We don�t know where but the portal did not lead to Phyrexia but to somewhere on Keld.� Tiny Tim continues. ���� �We must go after him.� Dakkon says. ���� �Okay but we have to pick up some reinforcements first.� Glacian says. ���� �What about him.� Jhoira points toward Nick. ���� �We take him with us.� Tiny Tim says and then walks out of the room. ���� �We leave in the morning.� Glacian says and then also leaves the room. The three mages look at each other and follow him.
