Roi Et

Situated in the middle of Isan, Roi Et occupies part of Thung Kula Ronghai, the drought-stricken land that subsequently has been developed for agricultural purposes.

    Prasat Nong Ku

    An ancient Khmer sanctuary built of laterite, approximately 8 km. from the town center, features the main stupa surrounded by a wall with a "Khopura" or portal on the east side. Inside the southeast part of the wall on the northeast side is pond paved with laterite. Its architectural style indicates that it was built around the latter half of the 11th century and restored in the beginning of the 13th century.
