Song Of The Water ( 8" x 3.5" )

The Earth is said to be nearly two thirds covered with water.  The things we find there are insurmountable.  It is also a symbol of the unknown.  When one dreams of swimming, diving, or doing anything in a great body of water, it is said they are exploring the subconscious.  I consider water to be a grand teacher, this the inspiration for this piece.  One not only learns to live while treading the depths of the unknown, but learns to trust oneself in the face of aloneness.
