| Hired by the President, Rouge was to investigate the disappearance of "Project Shadow" by following Eggman around. When she first met Shadow and Eggman she presented herself as an average treasure hunter and convinced them to let her tag along. The whole time she kept her cover and in her spare time she went looking for the remaining pieces of the Master Emerald to keep for herself. She'll go to any lengths to keep her act convincing - which is proven when she steals three Chaos Emeralds from the military. But she also did some spy work by tricking Eggman into giving her the password to the colony ARK (and they say Knuckles is gullible...). Shadow eventually finds her out but does nothing about it other than giving her a threat, partially because it's too late for him to really do anything and also since he had work to do. She comes back in Sonic Heroes after discovering Shadow and Omega in capsules of Dr. Eggman's base during her jewel search. They set out as Team Dark to fight their former boss. |
