| Very little is known about Maria because she now only exists in Shadow's memory as a guide for him. Once the granddaughter of the great Prof. Gerald Robotnik, it's said she was left crippled by a disease but remained full of her hopes and dreams. She was shot and killed by GUN during their attempt to shut down and cover all experiments conducted by her grandfather. While alive she and Shadow talked often of the Earth and why Shadow was created. Before letting the hedgehog escape, she told him to promise her to make the people of Earth happy in any way he could. |
