Calculating To Hit Rolls

All characters begin with a base 15 on a 20 sided dice to perform actions successfully. 15 or higher equals success. 14 or lower equals failure. This chance is improved or lessened by a characters attributes.

Melee Weapons: To calculate what a character needs to roll to hit with melee weapons use the following formula. Base 15 minus Level Bonus minus Strength Bonus minus Luck Bonus.

Example: Sally's character is 6th level with a Strength of 51 and a luck score of 22.
Sally begins with her base of 15.
She locates the table in the "Levels and Advancement" section which gives bonus's for levels. She finds that level 6 characters recieve +3 To Hit.
Sally subtracts 3 from her 15 base to hit score. She now has a new score of 12.
Next she locates the table in the "Statistics and Attributes" section which gives bonus's for Strength. She finds 51 Strength gives +2 To Hit with melee weapons.
Sally subtracts 2 from her new score of 12. She now has a To Hit score of 10.
Next Sally locates the table in the "Statistics and Attributes" section which gives bonus's for Luck. She finds 22 Luck gives +1 To All Rolls.
Sally subtracts 1 from her new score of 10. She now has a To Hit score of 9.
With all of her bonus's factored in Sally needs a 9 or higher on a 20 sided dice To Hit successfully with melee weapons. She has a total Bonus of +6.

Range Weapons: To calculate what a character needs to roll to hit with range weapons use the following formula. Base 15 minus Level Bonus minus Dexterity Bonus minus Luck Bonus.

Example: Sally's character is 6th level with a Dexterity of 51 and a luck score of 22.
Sally begins with her base of 15.

Calculating Damage Ratings

To calculate how much damage your character can inflict with each of his weapons you must add the weapons base damage rating with the attribute bonus's which apply to that particular type of weapon.

Melee weapons such as swords, axes, clubs, and bare fists use Strength and Luck. Ranged weapons such as bows and firearms use Dexterity and Luck. Spells such as fire and bolt use Intelligence and Luck.

Example of Calculating How Much Damage A Character Inflicts With Melee Weapons:

Example: Sally's character wants to use a Broad Sword which has a Base Damage Rating of +10. Her character has a Strength of 51 and a Luck score of 22.
Sally starts with the weapons Base Damage Rating. In this case it is 10.
Next Sally goes to the "Statistics and Attributes" section. She finds the table for Strength and sees 51 gives her a bonus of +25. She adds 25 to her base of 10 which equals 35.
Next she finds the table for Luck and sees 22 gives her a bonus of +5. She adds 5 to her base of 35 which equals 40.
Sally will inflict 40 damage each time she successfully hits with her Broad Sword.

Example of Calculating How Much Damage A Character Inflicts With Range Weapons:

Example: Sally's character wants to use a Bow which has a Base Damage Rating of +10. Her character has a Dexterity of 51 and a Luck score of 22.
Sally starts with the weapons Base Damage Rating. In this case it is 10.
Next Sally goes to the "Statistics and Attributes" section. She finds the table for Dexterity and sees 51 gives her a bonus of +25. She adds 25 to her base of 10 which equals 35.

Sally will inflict 40 damage each time she successfully hits with her Bow.

Example of Calculating How Much Damage A Character Inflicts With Spells:

Example: Sally's character wants to use her spell Fire which has a Base Damage Rating of +10. Her character has an Intelligence of 51 and a Luck score of 22.
Sally starts with the spells Base Damage Rating. In this case it is 10.
Next Sally goes to the "Statistics and Attributes" section. She finds the table for Intelligence and sees 51 gives her a bonus of +50. She adds 50 to her base of 10 which equals 60.
Next she finds the table for Luck and sees 22 gives her a bonus of +5. She adds 5 to her base of 60 which equals 65.
Sally will inflict 65 damage each time she successfully hits with her spell Fire.
