A Level measures a characters advancement in his chosen profession. A character rises in Levels by gaining Experience Points which can be earned in quests and duels.
Characters receive bonuses to their chance to perform actions as they gain higher Levels.

Experience points are given as rewards for participating in quests and duels. They are the measure used to determine when a character gains an experience level.
Typically quests are worth 100 - 200 Experience Points for each quester. Bonus Experience Points are sometimes given for solving specific problems, high quality role playing, or anything else that the GM in charge feels warrants a bonus.
Typically duels are worth 50 points to the winner and 25 points to the loser. Bonus Experience Points are rarely given in duels.
