1. After downloading pirch, double click to pull it up.
2. Look in the top, left hand side and click the button that says "login"
3. A new box that says "Server Connection" should come up
4. Click on "Edit Server List" on the right side of the "Server Connection" box
5. A new box reading "Network Explorer" should come up
6. Click on the symbol of the 2 computers with the + sign above it
7. In the top white box on "Network Explorer" their should be a new set of 2 computers with the name New...erase New and type in "Nessus" then hit enter
8. Highlight the "Nessus" that you just made, and push the picture of the one computer with the + sign above it
9. A new box reading "Server Properties" will come up
10. Name will be Nessus..Address will be:
chat.rpgworlds.com
Port 6667
11. Push OK on Server Properties
12. Push the X on the LEFT hand side of Network Explorer
13. Now you should be back at Server Connection
14. In the top left hand corner of "Server Connection" it should say "IRC Network" and have a white scroll box, find "Nessus" and click that
15. The box marked Server should now read, chat.rpgworlds.com:6667;Nessus
16. Leave password blank
17. Name: put a saying in this box..or a small quote
18. UserName: leave as is
19. NickName-- your_chat_name_here
20. Alternate-- alternate_chat_name_here
21. Click "Connect" on the right hand side
22. After the chat box comes up push "channels"
23. Double click on #Nessus on the right hand side to join, or type in /join Nessus
24. To do an action: /me stands up and slowly works his way across the bar (the code, /me is like talking in 3rd person)
25. To pvt msg another: /msg Blah messagehere OR double click on the persons nick in the name list to the left of the screen.
mIRC
1. After download, double click on the icon to bring it up
2. There should be a screen that pops up, reading "SET UP".. If this does not happen, click on the File at the top and then on SET UP.
3. IRC Servers: Click on ADD (in these following boxes, do this:)
i. Description: RPGWorlds
ii. IRC Server: Chat.RPGWorlds.com
iii. Ports: 6667
iv. Group: may leave blank
v. Password: may leave blank
4. Now click the ADD button
5. Under the button that says "Connect to IRC server" do this:
i. Full Name: Me
ii. EMAIL address: [email protected]
iii. NickName: your_chat_name_here
iv. Alternative: alternative_chat_name_here
6. Click the OK button
7. Now your at the status screen.
8. Click on the green LIGHTNING bolt just below the File button. This will connect you to RPGWorlds server.
9. A screen will pop up asking for a channel list.
10. X this screen out
11. The status screen will show you that you are now logged onto the server as the nick you have choosen.
12. To join a channel using mIRC, use this command /join #Nessus
13. Don't forget to include the pound symbol infront of the channel name when using mIRC.
14. To private message someone use this command /msg Blah_Blah messagehere OR double click on the persons nick in the names list to the side.
15. To preform an action
/me stares at the floor, as she listens to the conversations
the code, /me is like talking in 3rd person
16. When receiving a pvt msg from another, a red tab up at the top next to the status tab will show with the persons nick.
17. It will only show RED when new speech or actions have been done since the last time you looked at that screen.
18. To Disconnect: Click on this symbol -[]- up at the left hand corner of the screen under the File button. (its where the lightning bolt was)
