Creating Storylines

Storylines are an important part of any RPG. These things are the difference between a session of dice rolling and a session of Role Playing. Without storylines we might as well stick to monopoly or video games. Storylines of any type are the key to character growth.

A character which sits in a tavern all day drinking and talking to noone will eventually (probably quickly) become very boring to RP. It is the interaction with other characters and the universe that keeps a character interesting to play. This section will hopefully give GM's the guidance and tools they need to create storylines which will provide characters with the interaction nessecary for their survival.

This section is a project under construction. Most likely it will never cover every aspect of creating and maitaining storylines, but hopefully I can provide enough to give active and potential GM's a good base to work with. Most of this section will be devoted to storylines for quests, however, much of the info is valid for any type of play.

I guess I should point out that this section might not be organized or even nesseccarily coherent. It is my attempt to pour my experience out of my brain. If it splatters all over the place uh.. sorry.

As always, questions, comments, and suggestions, about the content of this section or additions to it are welcome.

Study up and good luck,

GMassacre-
