As I have watched GM's run quests I have noticed many have difficulty determining how strong the bad guys should be. Putting baddies with the right amount of skill against parties which vary in strength from quest to quest is difficult to master. It seems they either make things too easy or accidentally wipe the party out.
I will attempt to help solve that problem. Below you will find a list of baddies. They will be ranked by level. Each level will have a list of bonus's to hit, max damage per hit, level skills if any etc...
I will not list specific creatures and their stats. This will be up to each GM since every creature can vary a great deal from world to world, by its age, its experience etc.. However, GM's should normally put appropriate levels on differen types of baddies. i.e. A rat will probably be Level 0 unless it's a pretty damn big rat. A dragon is probably gonna be Level 10 or higher unless it's a very small dragon.
The list below is just a guide. GM's should alter things as they see fit. None of this is gospel, it's just something to help out.
The listings for # Vs. various party strengths assume a quest will contain 3 battles with groups of baddies.
Note: Using smaller groups of stronger baddies is much easier to run than using large groups of weaker baddies. I don't recommend trying to run more than 6 monsters at a time.
