My first experience with the internet probably began either in the 5th or 6th grade.
(I'm going to be in the 10th grade now.) First it started with Hotmail and this online community called Purple-Moon. But I didn't have a computer then. So I went to this place called Parkdale Library and I surfed the internet with their computers. Mom and I went EVERY weekend back then. I used to go on the computers and then check out books. I had so much fun. I also used South Park Middle School's computers also, where I used to go. (The school's site has improved since I last saw it!)

So, from there, I asked my 'rents for a computer, but they said no. So guess what I did?
I told them to get me an I-Opener from Netappliance. It's like the earlier version of a iPAQ from Compaq, but different. (I still have it!) I just don't use it anymore! Because I actually got a........Compaq Presario 5000!!!!!!! Yep. I got it when I was in the 7th grade. (I think......) Except it came with Windows ME instead of Windows XP. And it came with an EthernetPort so I can have a broadband internet connection. I have Prodigy DSL powered with SBC. If you clicked the link, you'll
see that it's like the members section where you login and all that. Anyways, I began to enjoy the internet more. It helped me discover cool things like MSN, Morpheus, EZboard. (I also have my own message board on EZboard, by the way.)

And now, I'm making sites. I started with Homestead to make my sites, but when they started charging for their sites, I decided to change from them to Yahoo! GeoCities. I also made an online diary with Diaryland. The service is free and easy to use, but if you want to upload images onto their server or have your banner ad on their network, then you pay like $10 a month or something. It's a thing called Gold Membership, and if you check out the Diaryland site, you will find out more about gold membership. I also use this great thing called Imood, which lets you share your feelings with the online world. There are like a ton of people who use this service. I'm one of them!

And just recently, I just got my internet back after 11 months of not having it at home. It really sucked, but I managed by going online at Parkdale Library and going on the computers at school. And now I have internet. I'm guaranteed for this month because I paid for it when I had it installed. More on this here.
