I saw you helplessly falling from the sky
I wasn’t strong enough to hold you up
Your broken wings couldn’t keep you flying any longer
And there was nothing I could do to help
I watched as you came crashing down
A beautiful creature losing complete control
As you lay bleeding and broken before me
I see now that you are without any strength or hope
I leaned in to pick you up
Your pieces could not be placed back together
I kissed your forehead and held you in my arms
Waiting for something greater to take you away…
