Readers: Leave Tony D. Alone!
October 6

Hooray for Tony Danza ["Danza Vents About Video Intrusions," Sept. 9.] Why should he have to tolerate videotaping lunatics, signature-seeking hounds, and tabloid vultures? He's an individual first and deserves his day-to-day privay.

Some lil Tony Articles for ya!
The whole row of female teenagers at a preview of "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" last week was rendered limp by-- no, not Nathan Lane or Mark Linn-Baker, impressive as they were. These giggly girls were danzzled by the presence of the apparently ageless sex symbol himself, Tony Danza. Tony is 40-plus now but looks hardly a day older than he did way back on "Taxi" or "Who's the Boss?" (His current sitcom, "Hudson Street," is on hiatus.) This TV cutie, always a favorite of mine, gave me a big kiss and a greeting so effusive and affectionate that fora  minute, at least, those pretty young things swooning for him might have been wishing to be me-- a woman of certain years.
Tony, who has disconvered new talents recently, will be singing, dancing and schticking, starting this Friday at Atlantic City's Resorts Casino.
Q: You filmed Angels In The Outfield in San Francisco-- what was that like for you?

Joseph Gordon Levitt:
It was cool working with Christopher Lloyd 'cause I loved him in Back To The Future. Tony Danza and I went rollerblading around the coliseum concourse and we played football on the field, but they made us stop 'cause we got too many grass stains on our uniforms.
Tony Danza, best known for ABC hits "Taxi" and "Who's The Boss?," has signed a deal with NBC to produce star in a sitcom for the 1997-98 season. Danza's Katie Face Productions will produce the series. The company has two other projects in the works-- "The Miami School Bus Hijacking," a movie for ABC, and a game show for Sony Entertainment. Katie Face produced ABC's "Before They Were Stars" specials. Danza's last series, "Hudson Street," bombed last season on ABC.
