You know what i just realized???? There's this pizza place in my town that I go to almost every saturday of my life with my friends, called "tony d's" !!!!!!! I never made the connection til yesterday cuz it's such a normal part of my life that i never thought about the name really. so when this occured to me i practically choked on my pizza and without a bit of hesitation ran up to the register and asked "is this place named after tony danza?" the guy said.....
"no. tony was my dad."
oh well.....it was a fun day anyway....

I was looking for Tony Danza at different search engines and then i came across StreamSearch.com. I typed in his name and the first two matches said this :
"A Connecticut mobster serving King Arthur's court? Tony Danza plays the lovable Butch, a gentleman thug who helps a time-traveling Arthurian knight fulfill his quest, but gets himself in a great deal of trouble with the modern day police."
Its in two parts and you can download it from the site. Tony sings in it and its some weirdo little story. The more you listen to it, the more ridiculous it becomes and the more you'll laugh your ass off. Go get it now!!

The Layfield Saga
Ok so I have this Precalc teacher, and her names Layfield. She's a funny lady and basically an airhead but we love her anyway. Her class is spent doing everything besides paying attention. Passing notes, mumbling funny words to each other, and copying one anothers homework. Well one day we were doing the usual things, and I was staring at the window when all of a sudden I hear this familiar melody. For a split second I sing the words of the Who's The Boss? theme song in my head and picture the blue van in my mind. Then I realize its my cell phone and I lunge for my backpack to shut it off. But it's too late, everyones heard the noise, and knows it was my phone because who else would've sat for hours trying to figure out how to program the tune in. So layfield smiles at me and tells me to hand over the phone because you're not allowed to have them in school. I regrettfully do and hope that at the end of class It'll be returned. As the bell rings I go over to her and ask for it back. She tells me she's handing it to the head disclipline guy and I beg and plead for the return of my beloved cell phone. She says no and so I am off to my next class, the last of the day. At the end of the period I excuse myself and run back to my teacher to beg for mercy one last time. She finally agrees not to give it to the big disciplinarian man and says that I have to stay after school for detention with her. I tell her I have work and then she says I have to spend the next day with her. But I have work then too, so I ask, "How about Friday?" but layfield doesnt feel like staying after on friday and so she says, "I'll make you a deal. You make me a Tony Danza button and we'll call it even."! And so that's my story. I made her the button and she wore it two days in a row, and people noticed it. Those were happy days. Discussions about Tony buzzed all over the school and I felt as if my goal was being accomplished, I was spreading the word just as I had always dreamed and hoped. And so I ask of you to do the same. Tell others about Tony and your experiences. And if you do I urge you to tell me about it so we can revel in our actions and feel that we've made this earth just a little bit brighter and more tonyesque.

read it, you'll be glad you did (i think).

no tony?!

1993 A.D. it was a frigid night. not only did one life hang in the balance; but two. tony was out on the slopes, near death. and the other? she was out in pattenburg. a girl of 9; a loser some might say. sitting at home, watching tv, she desperately searched for something to catch her eye. it is a sad tale, but one that must be told. what might things be like without tony? ...

where to start? what to say? without tony, vanessa had little to live for. she didnt have many friends. she had no passions. she was bored most of the time; always straining to find that thing that would give her life meaning. there were no tap lessons to be had. her only reason for trying that out was the inspiration that tony had given her. there would be no belly-aching laughs in front of the television. the cosby show which ran numerous times in the UPN lineup just didnt cut it. no strikingly handsome men in movies or tv. no one to giggle or blush about. nobody. that infamous english project? no, it never existed. without tony, there was no anne micelli. no touring the world, no duets with him. she failed that class, and every other one too. there just wasnt any motivation. the bad grades sank her into depression. no uplifting tony themed songs to listen to. no sexy italian man accent to cheer her up. the relationship with her parents schriveled away to nothing. no cute, funny actor to talk about with her mom. no brooklyn-italian based guy to compare to and laugh [because Tony was SO the man, and her father wasnt] to her dad. Eating wasnt a priority anymore. lasagna? rigaTONY?* why eat it? it wouldnt remind her of anyone. vanessa became a withered, mentally challenged, cold, lump of vegetable poop. she ended up on the streets selling dollars for pennies and handing them to school children passing by. might i add that those school children also had serious problems and led unfulfilled lives because TONY DANZA WAS NOT IN EXISTENCE. a life without tony is simply....

a life not worth living.

*Thanks Lauren!

By: nessa Speech Topic: Personal Experience
Speech was given Sept. 20, 2001
Subject: Who else, Tony Danza.

1995 was the year it all began I was a boring child, I didnt have many friends and so I looked to television to console me. What I found was a 80s sitcom running in syndication. The show was called Whos The Boss? And its star.Tony Danza. And so at the age of 10 I had finally found the true love of my life with his rippling muscles, Brooklyn accent and almost always a vacuum or duster in hand. From then on my life took a drastic turn, for better or fore worse, I'll let you be the judge of that. A lot of scary and frightening things happened from age 10 to 16, but what happened on June 10th, 2001 just after my 17th Birthday is almost too shocking to tell. But I will tell you, and you'll listen, because this is Speech class and you have to My parents decided to purchase 5 tickets for my friends and I to see the one and only Tony Danza. Seeing the show started out as more of a joke than anything, but as time progressed it grew from something that would provide a few laughs to the obsession that it had been 7 years earlier. I started rewatching my taped episodes, memorizing whole scenes. I even stared at my picture of him on the wall and nearly shed a tear. I remembered how I used to think he was so handsome. Though the wrinkles had long since set in he still had that quality. Tony was still a beautiful man. Tony Danza had reached an almost god-like status. Things began to spiral out of control and he was my life. Once again. And so now its June 10th. We arrive at the Easton theatre and sit in our seats. We were by far the youngest ones seeing that half a century old man. The lights dimmed and the show began. It was amazing. He sang, danced, and told jokes. But it was so much more than that. He brought me back to my childhood, back to the days when I sat memorized in front of the TV watching Whos The Boss? When the show ended I didnt want to move from my seat, I was in awe, but then I realized that maybe this was my chance to meet him. What I soon found out will astound you. One of my best friends had set it up that I was to meet Tony after the show, backstage. And so we were ushered through the back entrance. All five of us sat on the stage. My four friends sat in order so that their shirts spelled out TONY. I was on the end, waiting in anticipation. Then I saw him straight a head, the man who had been the guiding force in my life. He turned around and said Hey, wheres the birthday girl? and my hand shot up in the air. He came over and wished me a happy birthday and then, get this, he sang ME a special birthday song. It was written with my name in it, something about me laughing and smiling, Im really not sure. But the words didnt matter. It was the thought that went behind it that warmed my little heart. Before the song was over he had touched me; first my knee and then a short grasp of my hands. They were clammy though, wet and cold, and so he quickly let go... I dont blame him. Then he signed autographs and we talked about how hes so awesome and cool, because you know it, he really is. Then I asked him for a hug, and he said sure and before I knew it he had his arm around me. With his body next to mine my friends scrambled to take pictures of the cute couple. Then some stage hands offered to take pictures of the whole group, and Tony who loved our super cool shirts wanted a picture of it for himself. How awesome is that? And so my time with Tony was coming to an end just like the time left in my speech is. Tony wished me a happy birthday again and said goodbye to us all, and we were off. I couldnt believe my life dream had come true, and so I leave you with these words: I met Tony Danza and you didnt. Arent you jealous?...Thank you.
