Chapter 7: It Was You?

"What a great performance!" the owner yelled as she put the bra back on backstage, "Can you come back every night?"

"I don't know about that," she replied, "But I think I got a good response."

"Well, it was a pleasure having you here," the owner held out a huge roll of bills to her hand. She could read out a couple of 100's from the dim light.

"Thank you, sir, it's been a pleasure dancing here," she replied and grabbed the pile of bills and listened to some guys walking back the hall.

"Yeah, baby!" some drunken guys yelled to her.

She saw some other guys walking back as she put on her old clothes and started to get ready to go.

"Hey, Andrea?" the guy with bleach blonde hair called to her.

She looked over and realized it was the guy she pulled up on stage with her, "Yes?"

Joey walked up and looked at her, "Hi, um, that was a little awkward the way you pulled me up on stage. Were you paid to do that?"

Andrea whispered, "Yes, shut up, no one's supposed to know that."

"Oh, sorry, you weren't bad, but I'll admit it was a little shocking to me, even though I'm a pimp."

"Well, thanks, this is what I had to do for money so I did it," she started to walk away.

"Wait a minute," he grabbed her wrist and she yanked it away from the painful memory of the rape.

"What's the matter?" he asked.

"Sorry, just a blonde moment, let's go outside," she guided him outside, still not knowing who he was.

She looked up at his face and exclaimed, "Oh my god, you're..."

"Yeah, Joey Fatone, I know," he replied.

"Oh my god, you're the guy I pulled up on stage? I am SO sorry!" she exclaimed.

"It's okay. Hey, we're on break, maybe we could chat for awhile on the bus and maybe you can stay at the hotel with us for a night or two. Do you have anyplace to stay?"

"No," she sighed and followed him onto the bus, prepared for a surprise.
