Joey's arms were tied around Andrea's waist as she seemed to fall into him. She didn't realize how much she actually was in love with him until she gave herself a chance. Now she knew it was true. All she had to do was tell him somehow.
"Andy, um, hate to break up the little love fest, but I think someone wants you to sing," Lance came up to them and broke to them. Joey unwillingly took his hands away from her hips as she looked up at the stage and Justin was waving at her from the stage, trying to adjust the microphone. He was in front of a band with a guitar, keyboard, bass and huge drum set.
Andrea started to walk away from Joey strangely as she went up on stage and whispered to Justin, "What the fuck are you trying to pull?"
He ran a quick hand through his newly curling hair and replied, "Well, um, you had to be blunt, didn't you?"
"If you didn't have those god damn curls of yours to make you so cute, I'd have to kill you," she smiled at him and started to laugh, but now that Justin knew the truth about her, he was starting to wonder if she was just joking.
"The band has requested you sing a song tonight to your knight in shining armor," Justin whispered into her air and they saw the bass player yell out "Rock Steady!" to them.
"Oh my god, you want me to sing 'Rock Steady'?" Andrea was flattered when she heard this, "How did you know I liked that song?"
"Well, you've been singing it on the bus out loud since you've got the No Doubt CD," Justin cued the band to start playing, "Well, here you go girly, time for your serenade."
Justin went off the stage and gave a wink to Andrea as she started to let the words pour out of her mouth as the beginning notes came from the band.
"Our love is rock steady, rock steady," the words poured out of her lips and Joey looked up at her with intent brown eyes as he saw her serenade him. He was falling even more in love.
"Our love is rock steady, rock steady," she continued to sing and the song's lyrics described her and Joey perfectly.
"Love is like a punishment, home girl here to represent, so innocently you seem to come my way, while Tinker bell and Cupid play, they sit there and they laugh, I sit here and I can't believe my eyes, you found me at last, but we're too human to see the way we'll agonize."
As the song drew to a close, Andrea looked at Joey with her bright blue eyes and blew him a kiss. She got a standing ovation as she walked off the stage and into Joey's arms.
"I'm never letting you go, girly," he stated, giving her a quick kiss on the lips.
But would he have her forever? Was their love rock steady?
