Chapter 16

"Cass's my little sister."

"Wow I didn't know that!"

"I don't even think she really wants to realize it herself, she's known all her life, but she doesn't want to acknowledge it at all. I mean, it's weird because we don't look alike and all that we're brother and sister, so yeah, that's it."

"So what's her real name?" Justin asked.

"Cass Daly. She just happened to like Blake better than our stupid name she said."

Lance and Justin chuckled and noticed Cass was beginning to wake up. Carson ran to her bed and pulled her into a hug, "Sis are you ok?"

"Yah I hope so," she said in her normal voice, "What do you want Carson...if you have come to see Mandie she isn't here she's with..." Cass looked up and saw Lance, "Where is she?"

"Cass, um," Lance simply nodded his head in Mandie's direction. Cass turned her head and looked at Mandie unconscious on the bed next to her and she started to tear up. But she wouldn't cry. No matter who it was. She wasn't one to cry.

"So about you being Cass's sister and all," Justin mumbled out, "I hope you guys don't really like each other and all because of all that flirting between you. I hope you're not like, all into incest and things."

Cass and Carson looked over to him and started to laugh, "No of course not. We just act like we never met each other before," Cass replied.

"Oh yes, Cass, how's your hand?" he gently lifted up her hand and she cringed, "You took a really big hit there."

"Yah" Cass said and it became quiet in the room. The silence was later broken by the sound of Mandie groaning in the bed next to Cass.

"Mandie," Lance ran to the side of her bed and grabbed her hand.

"Huh?" he heard her voice faintly, "Lance? Is that you?"

"Yep, it's me huney," Lance whispered gently down to her and kissed her forehead, "You're going to be okay."

Carson turned back to Cass, "Are you going to be okay?"

"I don't know, I still feel a little funny," Cass replied, looking up to Justin, "Justin, um, I remember you trying to kiss me. Why did you do that?"

"Youyou said you loved me."

"I did?"

"I knew it...if I would have kissed you, you wouldn't have remembered it...when I kiss someone I'd like them to remember it."

"I don't feel very well Lance," Mandie said and looked up at him.

"Mandie, stay down, doll," Lance smoothed some hair off her forehead as she tried to sit up.

"Lance, I need to see how Cass's doing," Mandie tried to fight him trying to keep her down.

"Don't worry about Cass, she's in worse condition than you but she's fine," Lance assured her and she settled onto the pillow.

"How is she in worse condition than me?" Mandie suddenly asked.

"Well, let's see, she broke 2 of her fingers and got 5 times more drugs in her drink than you, that should explain it," Lance replied strangely calm.

"Waitwhat's Carson doing here?...didn't he do it?"

"No...Brad did. He admitted it."

"Brad as in my ex?"

"Yah...he put more in hers cuz she ruined his chance with you."

"That bastard, I never should have trusted him, where is he?" Mandie asked again, starting to get mad.

"He should be on the phone still," Justin lifted the phone up to his ear but realized he had hung up a long time ago.

"Shit...oh well...we plan on taking this to court," Justin said as he walked over to Mandie and gave her a big bear hug.

"Carson...I'm so sorry...I forget that you would never do anything like that to me or to your sister for that fact."

"Its ok Manderz," he said calling her by the nickname he gave her when they first met. He walked over to her and gently hugged her.

"Just don't try to take me away from my boyfriend again," Mandie laughed at him.

"Oh my god, he's your boyfriend now?" Carson was shocked, "Wow, you work fast girly!"

"Yep," Mandie smiled at Carson and then at Lance, realizing how lucky she was.

Lance smiled back at her and Carson could see the chemistry between them...he knew this would last a while and he wasn't gonna get in the way, "Ok but if he ever hurts you...you know who to call."

"Thank you Carson."

"For what?"

"Understanding."

"Gotcha," he gave her a delicate, friendly kiss on the cheek and then turned back to Cass, "So Cass, what is this about being in love with Justin?"

Cass's bottom lip started to quiver... "He, he, I don't know what your talking about Carson," Cass smiled.

"Right," Carson said...the nurses came in the room and checked the girls and later said they could go home, "Cass, you know I don't like it when you lie to me, tell me the truth," Carson told her sternly.

"You know I can be more stubborn than you, I don't like my real last name!" Cass yelled back. She didn't have much energy since she had so many drugs in her drink so she kind of still sounded drunk.

"Cass Marie Daly," he told her and she cringed lightly, "Tell me why you're in love with Justin, now."

"I hate it when you do that!"

"Well tell me."

"FineI am falling in love with him."

"Cass, you don't even know what love is, you're way too young," Carson scolded her and Cass looked extremely fragile laying there, hearing her brother scold her and Justin got a little mad.

"I can make decisions for myself, I'm not a baby," Cass tried to retaliate but Carson overpowered her.

"Carson...leave her alone."

"Oh you're only saying that cuz you want her to be in love with you."

"No I'm saying that as a friend."

"WhateverI think I'm gonna go before I hurt anyone. Bye y'all."

"Bye," they all said in unison.

Carson walked out of the door, looking back at Cass, giving her a stern look, immediately bombarded by paparazzi.
