What just happened?

I get up from the ground, amazingly numb from what has just happened. Everything around me seems distorted and out of order and I started to get scared slightly.

Where's Justin?

I started running, not sure where I was running to, trying to find him. I heard a quiet, "Jade?" and I turned around and saw him.

He was okay.

"Justin, I was so worried about you. Are you okay?" I asked quietly, walking towards him, the eerie numbing sense washing over me again. I can just tell this is going to be bad.

"Well, I wouldn't say either of us were okay..."

He simply pointed to our left and I turned my head, a gasp coming out of my mouth, gaping wide open. Justin's dead body was lying near the warehouse still bleeding from the back of his skull.

He had been killed.

"But, if you're dead, how am I-" I suddenly stopped mid-sentence as he simply turned his head, myself quickly to follow it.

I was dead, too.

My body was lying on the ground, a small crowd starting to gather around both mine and Justin's places of death. I had been shot in the stomach and the chest by a murderer, hungry for revenge against Justin and I.

Britney Spears was lying, from a suicide bullet, a few feet away from my body.

"Justin, I-" I muttered quietly and fell into his arms, still afraid to cry in front of him. I looked up at him and then around at the still eerie atmosphere, "Where are we?"

"Heaven."

"You're joking, right?" I started laughing lightly and all Justin did was give me a serious glance in response. I took a deep gulp and turned around, a bright light suddenly blinding me.

Is that...St. Peter?

I hear a faint musical song playing, something like a harp, trying to lure us towards the light. Justin looked at the scene around us and then to me, "Let's go, Jade Marie."

Nothing will scar Justin Timberlake. Not even his own death.

With a quick interlocking of fingers, we started walking towards the blinding white light. Engulfing us, I had to close my eyes. I was afraid the strong current of wind would break us apart. Landing on the ground, I realized he was still holding my hand.

We had made it together.

"How did we make it together?" I asked quietly, feeling the springy green grass under my feet. I looked at the massive house in front of us with a fountain of Cupid a few feet in front of us and Justin whispered into my ear sensually:

"Don't all soul mates get into heaven together?"

I turned to him, my eyes brimming with happy tears as I flung myself into his arms, releasing my tears from my eyes. He wrapped his arms around me gently and slyly remarked:

"That trip was tiring. Want to go lie down?"

"What makes you think this is our house?" I asked cunningly back and a gold plate appeared on the door that read "Justin Timberlake and Jade Vincent; 131 Soul Mate Street."

I guess this is our house then.

Grabbing his hand again, I quickly wish him a short but sweet, "Happy birthday," as we walk into the bedroom. We lay down on the plush feather bed, Justin wrapping his arm around my waist. A strong fatigue fell over us and right before we feel asleep, he whispered into my ear 3 little words that I've been waiting to hear for months:

"I love you." 1
