Huh...where am I?

I open my yes and I see some blonde strands in front of my eyes. I see Rico's serious face staring at me from above.

Wait, why is my face wet?

"Am I dead?" I ask him, leaning up slowly. I let my eyes focus and I saw I was still in the rec room, but a lot of the people had left. Rico had a plastic cup in his left hand that was empty.

Don't tell me he threw booze on me.

"No," Rico extended his hand to me and helped me get up on my stupid stilettos, "You're still alive."

What a joy! Whoo-hoo!

"What exactly happened?" I asked Rico as I steadied myself on my heels, looked into his eyes, and tried to get over the fact that Justin almost killed me.

But what would push him to go so insane?

"Jade, I think you know what happened," Rico placed a strong hand on my shoulder, "And to tell you the truth, my opinion of you has changed."

Now you think I'm supreme queen bitch and I should have been killed? Fuck you, Rico.

"Yeah? How?" I ask with an angry tone in my voice. Like he even had a reason to change his opinion of me.

Oh, actually he does. It should have gotten worse.

"Well, I thought it was very wrong what you said to him first, and I thought you deserved what you got from him afterwards. And it felt kind of good to punch you."

Yeah, ha ha ha. Very funny. You can all laugh whenever you feel like.

"But when you had the guts to go up to him and apologize to him like that," he smiled at me genuinely, "I would have never had the courage to do that."

Wow, he actually is proud to be my manager? I must be dead.

"You didn't deserve to be called those things by him, that was just wrong of him, and the physical actions are self-explanatory."

Yeah, my neck is still burning from where his hands were.

"And you were right in what you said to him, he does deserve better than Britney. All that she's put him through was just...well, he doesn't deserve that."

Now I know I'm dead. Rico is being nice to me. Scary. And I didn't go to hell either.

"Well, what does he deserve?" I asked him, he finally taking his hand off of my shoulder and crossed my arms, waiting for a good lie from him.

Like he really deserved anything as low as me.

"After your display tonight, I believe you should be the one with him," Rico replied to me, walking over to the chair to get his jacket, but turning around and adding, "I can see you guys growing old together."

I'm just waiting for 2 horns to pop out of Rico's head. This didn't seem real.

But Rico actually liked me.

Only if that were the case with Justin.

"I thought I did, too," I started to sulk and brushed my hair behind my shoulders, feeling my eyes swell with tears, "But now Justin hates me."

"Don't' give up so easily," Rico told me gently, "What happened to the Jade Vincent that told me she wouldn't give up until she got an Oscar? I miss her."

I'd rather get a Grammy to be honest.

"She lost the man she loved," I sighed, letting my head hang limply on my neck. This honesty thing is good, but wait a second!

Did I just tell that to Rico?

"You...love him?" Rico choked out, taken-aback by the obviously true statement I had just told him. I was getting sick of the taken-aback reaction.

Just get me the hell out of here.

"Rico, we've got a plane to catch, I'd suggest you get your jaw off the floor and hit the road," I said starting to walk towards the door, "Or are you just going to stand there looking like an ass?"

Finally, back to normal.

"Yes, princess," I hear him groan as we walk out of the rec room and get into my limo.

The night is finally over! Or so I thought.
