The Moron Years
page 2
The Big Moment Had Come - By this time the audience was demanding to see Moron on stage. Literally, the hundreds of fans started shouting out "MORON, MORON, MORON", thus proving that this is the band that is mostly favoured by the fans. Actually, this was quite a surprise for the members themselves but the good sound of their practice sessions had spread like a wild-fire. The the discontent of the musically atheist panel of judges Moron got on stage and showed what it is made of. The gig started of with a blistering rendition of Johnny B. Goode, with Ilija on lead guitar and vocals, making the audience wild with frenzy. This was followed by Sweet Child O'Mine, For whom the Bell Tolls and to exert the final ounce of energy from the audience the massive Seek and Destroy, with NIkola on guitar and Alexander Efremov on vocals of course, emanating the James Hetfield voice.
It was clear that these were the most blistering 20-25 minutes of music ever exerienced in that part of the world. Moron was to win, hands down, or so it seemed if it wasn't for the musicallty atheist panel of judges who decided upon three bands that would go to the final stage while the audience would only decide for one. Their decision was Ski Rolls (a well-deserved place in the finals of course), the Dejan Georgievski neo-punk band (which was a fair decision) and Faktotum, a project led by one of the musically atheist panel of judges as lead singer and oh boy did he suck. The band that had won the hearts of the audience of course won the their votes as well, and that band was Moron.
The following day was again filled with energy in the atmosphere, since Moron could not rely on the musically atheist panel of judges to win it counted on the audience to be hailed as winners. The two bands that shone that night were the Ski Rolls (it means the Skateboards if you were wondering) and Moron. Morons performance was even more vehement than before with the guitarists torturing the guitars with emotion to take out last nuances of sound out of them. Again, the gig was preceded with calls for Moron by the audience and they were again to deliver a breathtaking 25 minutes, yet this time they were to take a darker turn in the music and faster pace of the tempo. The time for the vote had come. The judges decision was of course directed at Ski Rolls, but for the audences' vote there was time to wait until the ballots were counted. Disapointment had at last come as the people that counted the votes were from the musically atheist panel of judges who despite their life's worth of maths lessons managed to count ten more votes for the Ski Rolls. So it was, Ski Rolls were proclaimed the overall winners but Moron was to become the legend that was denied glory.
The Festival had passed and Moron laboured on in the practice sessions determined that nothing would break them. Yet, inner conflicts started to grow. The Brothers would continuously bicker, Ilija was not satisfied with the muscial direction that the band was taking. In the next half year Moron would make two highly successful concerts in Sveti Nikole before the number of member changes would take place. Goran of the brothers wolf would have to do his army service so that meant no performing for him for the next nine months. Ilija was kicked out without being told so, mostly because of his differing musical tastes and his fervour for experimentation. They would later create the short lasting Andromeda. Read more in the

A NEW ERA IN MORON
It was 1994 and Moron had successfully negotiated with Dejan Dimitrov-Slohi become the full-time rhythm guitarist and the drummer that would come in was a powerful pounding Aleksandar Popovski. Thus, Moron in its greatest glory was formed.
