Q: The name of Insomnia is taken from Megadeth song of the same name, isn't it? Either that, or from the techno song by Faithless, right?

A: Fortunately enough the answer to both questions is no. First of all, the song by Faithless came out about the same time as when the name of the band was decided upon. Actually, Insonmnia was only a project then, formed for a performance in a self-organized rock fest in Sveti Nikole. The members of the band have no real love for techno and therefore it hardly hasn't any influence on them. As far as Megadeth is concerned, Insomnia in their current line-up was about 3 years old and have had several successful performances behind them. Although Insomnia has the highest respect for Dave and Co. it is not true that the members of the band have taken the title of the Megadeth song as their official name. Insomnia is grateful to Megadeth for writing such a great song and will probably play it live in future. As a token of gratitute the members will probably write a song called Megadeth, as a homage to the heavy metal greats.

Q: What does Insomnia mean, and what actually does it signify?

A: Well, everyone knows that the meaning of Insomnia is some kind of sleeping disorder where on can't sleep, or something along those lines. The significance of the name is quite clear actually. Once you listen to the band live, you'll be so overwhelmed that you cannot sleep? :))) Other than that it really has no meaning. All of the members have had troubles sleeping in their lives, yet they do not suffer from Insomnia.
