| Dear Nintendo Power, I find myself hooked on the action packed thriller game called Spy Hunter. This game is filled with great music that I groove to. The game is very hard and I need some sweet tips from you guys. You're the best there is in the Nintendo World. You Rock! Peter "The Snack" Jones Lansing. MI Dear "The Snack", Thanks for reading our magazine. On level 1, after you get on the truck, press Up, B, Down, A, Left, 14 times to get the booster rockets and make your car go much faster. | Dear NP, This kid down the street from me is the leader of a local gang of Nintendo Power Players. His name is Tanner Weapons, and his gang is called "The Caped Crusaders." I wanted to get in so bad, I've beaten The Adventures of Bayou Billy in less than half an hour (without cheats of course), and I beat Burai Fighter with 9,999,999 points, the top score of all time. So how can I join Tanner's gang? Am I good enough? Devon L. McEwing Long Beach, CA Dear Devon, The answer is simple - keep practicing. Maybe you should expand your gaming capabilities to sports and RPG's. Eventually you will be able to show Tanner what kind of player you are. Or, you could start a club of your own! Either way, keep up the hard work and don't get discouraged. |
| What's Up NP!? I'm writing about a great game from the slammin' Nintendo system. It is Tecmo NBA Basketball! I always find myself getting into the action! This game is a smash hit in my book, an edge of your seat sports action game. The one thing I don't like is that the players all look the same. Why is that? It's hard for me to identify my hot stars. Are they going to make a sequel, and will that problem be fixed? Teddy Gomez Cactus Flats, AR Ted My Man, to answer your first question: The players look similar because Tecmo had to make the schedualed release date for the game. This made it a lot easier for our hard-working prgrammers. Sorry to burst your bubble, but there will not be a sequal to Tecmo NBA Basketball. The company has abandoned its line of sports games and will stick to educational games. |
| Dear Nintendo Power Magazine, My best friend's dad told me that Nintendo is releasing a six button controller. Is this true? If so, how much will it cost, and how will it alter gameplay?
