Established in 1988 with the reorganization of the Nesconset Fire Department, Company 2 maintains the elite role of Truck Company Operations.  In addition to traditional Truck Company Operations, Ladder Rescue is also assigned Heavy Rescue, Salvage and Underwater Search and Rescue.  The Company Members are cross trained to support all functions with the department, including Engine Company Operations and Emergency Medical Services, allowing them to support the other areas as needed.

Lead by a Captain and two Lieutenants, the company maintains a roster of about 40 members.  It operates 4 pieces of equipment, allowing it to operate at virtually any emergency scene.  As new tools and techniques are developed, the Truck is ready to take them on.
