Yesterday was the day,

You left me kneeling, falling away.

As I reached out for your grace,

You shivered sweet tears of pain,

Took my hand and said:

There is nothing to say.

Never will I forget what you did today.

Placing your little piece of heaven in front of my own,

So I’m forced to keep wandering,

Yet blank images of vivid imagination,

Force their way in of what could have been had that day.

Swallowed up in an uneternal white sheet of love.

What truly could have been.

Why did you leave me,

Without taking my hand in the beginning phase.

Why did you run without asking;

Why I had said that,

Why I had felt that,

Why we could have never been different again...

We sit in solemn false tranquility,

Crying into each others hands, even though were thousands of miles away.

Trying to convince ourselves it's for the best,

While we miss every chance.

Why ask God to change things between us,

When we say through tears that everything’s ok...

Fading images of crying couples,

Hurts every tainted souls red past.

Asking are the words in a narrow path...

What happened to our lives,

What happened in that day.

Playing each others foolish lives,

We huddle and obey.

Primal instincts make us hide in each others arms again,

We will see that day...

Everyday I will hope and pray.
