Proverbs
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart...
In all thy ways acknowledge Him,
and He shall direct thy paths.
(Proverbs 3:5-6)
The greatest harm that you can do
unto the envious is to do well.
Sin has many tools, but a lie is the only
handle that fits them all.
A gentle answer quiets anger,
but a harsh one stirs it up.
(Proverbs 15:1)
A word to the wise is enough.
Make hay while the sun shines.
Better to eat vegetables with people you love
than to eat the finest meat where there is hate.
(Proverbs 15:17)
Bear the thorn of the road
and the end is gold.
Mind what you say or you may say
whatever comes to mind.
People who promise things that they never give
are like clouds and wind that bring no rain.
(Proverbs 25:14)
