Now I really shouldn't have been at this gig....for a reason I can't really say without getting in trouble but anyway....I made it! ;o)
I met up with Kerena and Kate once again.....my fellow site maintainers!! and we wandered into the foyer where we saw the stage to the left....there were a few tables and chairs on the main floor area but all were taken...for now! I was a bit surprised that there were as many people as there were....it was pretty busy. I spotted Nerina watching from the side of the stage so we went and said our hello's and had a good chat...she said she was nervous as she hadn't decided on her setlist yet! so we naturally offered to help! haha. She was wearing a lovely coat and a very cool hat! which was commented on. We went and got a drink and met another fan at the bar named Ian and it's all very complicated but basically myself, Kerena, Kate and Peter are all big Corrs fans and anyway....Ian has a brother named Jonathan who is also a big Corrs fan! So we had been assuming that he was Jonathan but in fact they are twins and Ian is not a Corrs fan like Jonathan! So anyway....we know now! ha. Peter also turned up!
Anyway....Nerina headed off backstage to prepare and we made our way to the front.
We watched Nik Kershaw who was really good...and really short!
Anyway.....Nerina took to the stage alone....she chose to go solo rather than have a band for a change. She took her position on the piano first and played 'If I Know You' followed by 'Blood Is Blood'. Then she headed for centre stage and took the guitar to play 'Rainbow'....all going well so far! Next up was 'Patience' back on the piano....then the next single 'Alien'. Now beforehand she had said she was doing 5 songs and if your counting is good then you'll have realised that her five songs are done by now but the guy filling the gaps and introducing the artists doesn't come on stage so Nerina asks if she is supposed to be doing another song and get's a resounding answer of yes! and so she begins a song she used to do at the Kashmir Club called 'Dancing Girl' and shortly after starting she looks in horror and proceeds to say "F*CK! i've forgotten the words" and after a lot of thinking and concentrating....she gives in and apologises....saying she realy can't remember and will do another song instead! Awwww.
The song she does instead is called 'Here I Am' and is great! She still leaves the stage to applause and cheers! It's all part of the fun! Nerina still Rocks!!!!!!
