General Mods:
Streached Spring Method - This is a pretty basic modification, all you have to do in have the right screw driver and a good memory. First find out what type of screws you nerf gun uses, then find the matching screw driver that will fit in the holes. Now you can start taking the gun apart. WARNING: this is only for guns that acutally have a main spring, air powered guns will not work for this. This is where you use your memory, make sure you remember where all the pieces go ok?? Right, then locate the main spring and simply streach it, not to much but enough. This will make you gun fire father, it is a good idea to do this every 3-4 months with average use or whenever you gun seem to not be firing far.

Elastic Trick - Alot easier than the Streached Spring, not disasembeling required. Again this is not for air power guns! All you have to do here is attach a couple of elastics onto the cocking mechanisim and then hook the other ends on some other part of the gun (near the front). This will give the gun more power and again cause it to shoot farther.

Extra Ammo - Doesn't it always seem like you never have enough ammo to last and your always trying to pick up more in the middle of a battlefield?. Well we find that happens alot so here's some the the things we do to help carry more darts. First, when you buy a nerf gun, keep the plastic packaging the darts came in. Now tape that packaging to a piece of cardboard and duct tape it to your gun. (Make sure its upright). Now you have a home-made ammo holder. Also you can buy or take apart pieces of guns that are perfect for storing ammo. For example the Rototrack's rotating cartrages can be taken apart to hold 4 darts each and they're easy to attack to any large weapon you might like to use.

Laser Sight - This mod is espicially useful at night and even good during the day for most snipers. All you need to do if find one of those laser pointers everyone has lying around. Now get some strong tape and tape it directly above or below the barrel of your gun, this way you can aim more easily and quickly. Be sure to put the butten of the laser pointer against your weapon so that it stays on. Its not that easy to just reach up and press it whenever you need to aim.

Night Sight - Even though this has a stupid name, its often a good idea, better even than the laser sight if you're playing in the dark. No matter how good you think your vision is, its never as good as it is during the day. How do you fix this? Make it day and blind your opponents too. Similar to the Laser Sight Mod, just tape a flashlight near the barrel of your weapon on turn it on when you feel the need. This allows you to see opponents, and if your smart you can blind them with it to so that they have difficulty shooting you. It should give most nerfers enough time to shoot them first.

Specific Mods:
Lock 'n' Load -
Tools Needed: Screwdriver
This is a modification that only works for the Nerf Gun: Lock 'n' Load. Pretty much all you hav to do is take of the crappy useless casing. Just unscrew it and rip it off, don't worry its not attached to anything important, it just has a couple of springs that you don't need. Afterwards your gun can fire more acuratly. All you need to load it is a key ring. Then use the elastic band method and your gun kicks butt!!

Secret Shot -
Tools Needed: Screwdriver, Chisel.
This modification will remove the "secret barrel hidden in the handle". I recomend you do this mod if you own a secret shot because it isn't a secret, it is an nusance to use. Step1- Open up your gun. Step2- Pull the "secret" barrel out of its place. Step3- Cut/chisel a hole below the real barrel big enough to fit the tube through. Step4- Put the tube through and screw your gun shut. Next tape the secondary barrel beneath the main barrel so that you now have a gun similar to the Sharpshooter II.

Sawtooth -
Tools Needed: Screwdriver, Saw, Glue
Sawtooth itself is a bulky, akward, easily breakable weapon. BUT, if you mod it correctly can become a fast firing powerful dream weapon. First you need to find a normal saw, cut through the part of the gun where the ammo is loaded, about a centimetre infront of the barrel. Now find one of the foam footballs everyone seems to have. Rip it in half and take the half that has the prettier colour ;)! Anyway, glue that half on the bottom of the gun, right at the frount where you've cut away the rest of the gun. Now this gun is smaller, more portable and kicks it!
