Recently I had been to Sinhaghad in the rains & it was such a wonderful experience that I would like to share it with you.
What was really exiting about it was that we did not plan about it at all. I & my friends gathered together on a Sunday just to chat for some time & then suddenly decided to go for a bike ride to Khadakwasla dam.
We went to the dam from the side where there is no water & roamed about a bit, got bored & decided to go to Sinhaghad. I decide to drive all the way up even though I had never driven on a ghat before. While appraoching Sinhaghad, we saw that it's top was totally covered in clouds.
We got on top without much hinderance & my friends were really surprised that I drove so well. It was a bit of a trouble to find parking place for our bikes once we got on top, as the whole place was full of vehicles & people on account of it being a Sunday.
We parked our bikes & instead of going towards the fort we headed into the opposite direction, to follow a small track heading to one of the adjoining hills from where we could get a view of village Warje. The track offered an excellent view of the surrounding clouds & misty peaks & lush green vallies. We were on top of the clouds ,literally.
After some time our hunt for a path to Warje bore no fruit & our stomuch's began trumbling so we headed back to Sinhaghad for some Bhaji & Jhumka Bhakhar. We enjoyed eating Bhaji, Jhumka - Bhakhar along with dahi & finally sipped Ilaichi tea before descending downwards.
It was a day which will remain etched in our memories for a long time to come.
