I am responsible for making sure students who apply have completed the required courses and calculation their GPA. Since you are still in high school I recommend applying directly into the prepharmacy program. You will need a GPA of 3.4 on a four point scale and a SAT score of 1100 or better. Taking calculus and physics while in high school will waive these requirements when in college. If you choose to attend another university or college to complete the prepharmacy work you need to have a strong GPA. The average is 3.35. You will need to complete all of the prepharmacy courses and also have pharmacy experience. The prerequisite courses are Calculus, physics, chemistry, biology, microbiology, English, public speaking, economics, general psychology, and general education courses. This will take between 2 to 3 years. Many students complete a 4 year bachelors degree before attending. We have a accelerated pharmacy program aimed at producing community friendly pharmacists. Most pharmacy programs are four years and ours is three. Our program goes year round using the extra semester in the summer to cut down on the time it take to become a pharmacist. I hope this is helpful to your project. Lis Luft Pharmacy Evaluations
