Akela's Resource Traits at The Brave and the Bold

CITIBANK
Akela has accounts with Citibank. The branch she is familiar with is the one at 1078 3rd Ave between E 63rd and E 64th Streets. Garth (Tempest) of the Titans helped her set up a number of accounts under her full name: Akelathara of the Kaimi. They have her signature in the form of Atlantean script found in Skartaris and because of Garth's involvement had no problems giving her accounts with out any form of identification.

These accounts, established on October 8th, 2002, are as follows: a Money-Market Account with $100,000 in it, it earns interest at prime plus one percent (5.75% when the account was opened); a High-Yield Money-Market Account with another $100,000 in it, this account earns interest at prime plus three percent (7.75% when the account was opened); and finally an "Everything Counts" checking account which was opened with $65,600 in it and earns interest at the prime rate (4.75% when the account was opened).

In addition to basic banking privilidges, these include free use of any ATMs and no monthly fee if she maintains a combined monthly balance of $20,000 ($25 if she drops below that).

MINES
Akela knows the location of two mines in the Blood Rock Mountains of Skartaris that were abandoned because no human effort could get enough gems and gold out of them to make them worth working still. One, a diamond mine, is on the southern side of the mountains, near the lands of the Bat People and is a series of shallow trenches in the foothills with some effort and pick axes (or unbreakable rune swords) a person with even a fifth of Akela's strength is capable of unearthing a handful of small, rough diamonds (about the size of a pea) in eight hours of hard labor. The second abandoned mine is a gold mine that stretches into the mountains from the north side, near the city of Thera; there, the same amount of work can produce about half a pound of gold ore. She makes an effort to keep any wealth from being exposed, creating the illusion that the mines are still spent and worthless.

Retired Resource Traits

GOLD AND DIAMONDS
While Akela arrived with no Earthly cash she did have a bag with five pounds of small gold ingots (worth about $25,600 at current exchange rates; $320/ounce) and pouch with twelve uncut, colorless and internally flawless diamonds that, when cut, would on average yield two one carat diamonds (making each of them worth somewhere in the neighborhood of $20,000). She would have to find someone to buy them from her, but they are an easily portable supply of cash that if liquidated in a favorable fashion, could yield her nearly $250,000.
