Work Experience:

I served as a full-time faculty member ( post: lecturer and System Administrator) at Gandaki College of Engineering and Sciences, Pokhara, Nepal, from August 2002 to December 2003. During that period, I taught Computer Networks, Software Engineering 3 & 6, Artificial Intelligence courses to Bachelor of Computer Science students ( at sophomore and junior levels). I found the job exhilarating and rewarding. By sharing my knowledge , experiences with the students, I realized my own knowledge gradually increasing and at the same time developed research, didactic and communication skills.
Under my guidance, the third year students completed a team project software simulation of the Automated Teller Machine (ATM) using Java at the front- end and MS -Access at the back-end. Similarly, the second year students undertook miniprojects like implementation of the PERT/CPM for project management, development of simple encryption package( implemented Caesar Cipher), implementation of the Banker's Algorithm for resource allocation, development of On-line Ticket Reservation System and Library Information System.
More importantly, I had an opportunity to work with Dr Amalie Julie Frank , Vice-Principal of Gandaki College and former Professor of Widener University, Pennsylvania, USA. From her, I learned a lot about Telecommunications (especially Coding Techniques, Congestion Control Algorithms etc.). Her ample guidance, suggestions regarding effective teaching/learning techniques helped me to be comfortable with the profession.
