Tamurin stands 5'4, a slender, lithe young woman with maghogany hair cut in a short pixie, bright green eyes, and a faint spattering of freckles over her fair nose and cheeks. Her clothing of choice is usually sensible britches and loose tunics, and she has a love for intricate embroidery - very few of her hem lines aren't covered in some sort of creeping pattern, usually done in a colour to match the whole of the item, so it can only be seen in close quarters. Tamurin has a love of purples and blues of all shades, and can most often be found in one of these colours.

Tamurin's is a fairly vivacious soul - she loves to be up and going, organising, sorting. She houses a deep sense of responisbility, covered with a shiny veneer of carelessness - she's prone to flippancy, but normally only because she's already considered what others are concerned over. Tamurin is always prepared to have a good time, but she's far more likely to create the music then get up and dance. While she doesn't have a problem jumping in and voicing her opinion, she isn't one to want all of the spotlight.

Tamurin was bred, born, and raised at Nerat Hold, daughter and only child of one of the Hold's Creche caretakers. Her father has only ever been a foggy image in the back of her memory - he died of an illness before her second birthingday, and her mother never talked much of him. She grew up playing with the children of the Hold's other employees, and enjoyed her younger years thoroughly.
When she was twelve, Tamurin was officially taken as an apprentice by one of the Hold's Harpers, the Lyre-Harp player Mishkal. Tamurin is possessed of a low, haunting alto voice, and has gained considerable skill on both the lyre and the bowed psaltry, though the former is her favoured instrument. She never really considered standing for a Hatching - didn't they prefer Weyrbred youngsters for that? - but when the Searchdragon landed at Nerat and announced that candidates were needed for an upcoming clutch at the new Weyr... well, she couldn't exactly turn him down, now, could she? And after all - if she didn't Impress, she could always return to the Hold and finish her training as a harper...

| Abilities: |
Tamurin does lovely embroidery, though she's a loss for any sort of "sensible" sewing. She's near to walking the tables for her Journeyman status as a Harper, and is skilled on the lyre and psaltry, with her voice, and at composition.

| Posessions: |
Tamurin is never parted from her lyre, and also often carries a small bundle of embroidery with her. She wears a delicate beltknife with a twining knot pattern adorning the hilt.
