R'sam has strong features with a very square face. His hair is a dark blond, tending to a mousy brown where it isn't sun-bleached. Average in height, he has a fairly stocky build.

| Personality: |
R'sam is an easy-going person with very steady moods. He has got a temper though and on the few occasions when it emerges, everyone around him knows it. He is a little shy, even now and never very forthcoming about himself. A monosyllabic reply to a question is fairly common. However, when a conversation can be started, he proves to be an observant and quick-witted person.

Rysamal was born at Telgar Hold, first son of two low ranked residents. His childhood was unremarkable; he spent much time climbing trees, tormenting his three older sisters and getting into minor trouble. He did well at his lessons but did not excel well enough at anything to consider crafting and when he was in his mid teens, he was Searched for a clutch at Telgar Weyr.
On the sands, he was one of the first to Impress out of that clutch when an anxious brown dragonet staggered up to him and told him that he was Skith and his middle was so empty it hurt. In Weyrlinghood, he proved to be one of the most careful and precise flyers. Where others would land a bit before or a bit after the mark, Skith and R'sam were right on it. Skith has a naturally steady flight - one wingbeat takes him pretty much exactly the same distance every time.
After graduation, life was good. R'sam served a brief stint as a Wingsecond and performed with unassuming competence. During this time, he formed a relationship with Nyeta. However, when Nyeta voiced a desire to joint he new Nerat Weyr, he volunteered as well. If he was honest, he didn't care terribly much where he lived but he was attached to Nyeta. After the transfer, he has weathered the stresses of two offspring (although he has little to do with them, he cares) and dealing with the guilt of being being `unfaithful' to Nyeta during mating flights. Nyeta is weyrbred and isn't bothered. R'sam, as holdbred, took several turns to accept that it was ok. Today, R'sam's life is nicely settled, just ready for a new upheaval.

R'sam has very good handwriting and he is a quick reader. Otherwise, he has the standard skills of a dragonrider.

| Abilities: |
Skith is not the fastest or the most agile or slowest. His thing is precision. If a space is only just big enough, he'll be able to land there. He's fairly chunky to look at.

| Personality: |
Skith is something of a worrier. He fusses. He is also notably more talkative than his rider and during falls in particular, he has a tendency to keep up a regular stream of warnings about approaching bits of thread. He is also a perfectionist, something that is tempered by R'sam's easy-going nature. Give Skith half a chance and he won't just do what's asked, he'll do it three times over, each time with more little extras than before.
