K'nal is quiet and unassuming. He likes a good joke, but only by others. He is devoted to his weyrmate. He has a sad demeanor about him.

Krinal was the embarrassment of his family. His father, disgusted with Krinal's lack of motivation or ambition, tended to ignore him. He abhorred the way Narinda would coddle the boy and blamed her for Krinal being drawn mostly to boys. Krinal grew up avoiding his father at all costs. He kept mostly to himself, though he wasn't what you would call shy, just reserved. At 16, he was searched by a Fort Weyr dragon and to get away from the tension and spare his mother any more black looks and condemnation from his father, he went, never dreaming he would actually impress. He was left standing on the sands his first time, but did not want to return to the hold, so he made himself useful to the woman of the lower caverns. At his second stand, he impressed green Misrith.
