At Ista Hold, the Great Hall is overflowing with patients, the infirmary needs to be cleaned up, and supplies need to be counted - just how much numbweed, redwort, and other herbs were lost in shattered glass during the earthquake? Other infirmaries are just as busy - check with your area for details! And don't forget to log any healer RP! \./`\./`\./`\./`\./`\./`\./`\./`\./`\./`\./`\./`\./`\./`\./`\./`\./ Nerak walks into the Hall, with her bag filled with healer things, as well as her dog, Coco's packs filled with bandages and other equipment. She is out of breath, since she ran to get here. "Ok, I'm here to help! what needs to be done? I brought some supplies." Kiriya is doing what she can as a senior apprentice, doing minor healings that don't quite need a journeyman's attention. "There," she says as she bandages up the last of a young child's hurts. "That should do it, kiddo. Sit down for a bit, okay?" Hearing Nerak's voice, she rises. "Oh! Nerak," she greets the journeyman (it's great to have one for a best friend, eh?), "it's positively chaotic in here. Anything and everything needs to be done." Tch. Nerak takes a deep breath. "I was looking for clean supplies and brought as much as I could. I'll set these bandages down over here." and she puts all of hte rolls of bandages on a nearby table. She walks around, checking to see what the apprentices are doing. "This is sure a good use of your first aid skills!" she grins at each one as she walks around. Very nice bandaging job... Yes, make that a little tighter... Elevate that leg.... Oh, Kiriya, yes, that was good... " and winks, "You certainly know what is to be done, you've been in the hall longer than I, my friend. Alright, now that the apprentices have been supervised, I need to check on medications..." and walks over to where the medications are set out... "Yeah, it's frightening. I've been in the hall longer than you have and you still outrank me," Kiriya giggles, before she sees a person coming in with their leg broken... "Oh! Nerak- you're a bonehealer, right? Looks like you've got some work," Kiri quips, thumbing over to the young man with his arms over the shoulders of two strong-looking young healer boys. Nerak she checks the clipboard hanging on the wall to see which patient needs medications and which still need them. She makes up some of what is needed, and calls over an apprentice to take them to teh proper cots... When she sees the man with the broken leg helped in, she guides the boys to help the man to lay on a cot. "Hello, I'm Journeywoman Nerak. I am a Bonehealer by specialty, and it certainly looks as if you've got a broken leg." She offers a supportive smile. "How did this happen?" She asks as she helps the man settle himself on the cot. "I need to take a better look at your leg, I"m afraid I'm going to have to cut your pants, they are already ripped, so it shouldn't make much of a difference. She cuts his pants to be able to see the leg better. The young man moans in pain, and one of the young fellows who brought him in states, "A heavy beam fell on his leg, ma'am," in an almost-flat voice. Kiriya, meanwhile, tends to whatever she can, she being a midwifery appy. Though she's also got some strength in emergency care, as well. "Hey, Nerak, if you need any bandages or a splint, I can bring some by," she points out with a grin. Nerak nods, "Thanks, Kiriya, that would be helpful, as well as some numbweed and redwort. I'm going to have to set this." she then tells the boys to stay with them, "We'll need you here in a few minutes... stay here. I'm going to need some strength to pull on this leg to set it right." Nerak when Kiri brings the herbs, she sets to work. She redwarts her hands, as well as the are of the wound, making sure to keep it clean. The bone was't protrudig through the skin, but the leg is quite misshapen. "Kiriya, we're going to have to realign this leg. There is no master here to administer Fellis, so we're going to have to do it with just hte numbweed. Can you please keep him calm?" There are scrapes though, on the leg. Then the numbweed is slathered on, and time is given for it to work. She then directs teh men to grab ahold of the broken leg, directs tehm /exactly/ how much to pull and in what direction. She takes a hold of the place wher the broken bone is and holds the area with both hands. She closes her eyes... and tells tehm to pull. "Slowly.. A little more... good. She uses her hands to position the pieces of the bone beneath the skin to the proper position. "Ok, don't let go quite yet. I need an apprentice to bring 2 sticks and some bandaging /NOW/." When one brings it. She has them placed on either side of the leg. As she holds the leg, she has the men slowly release the leg. She feels to make sure the bone is staying in position. "Kiri, could you splint the leg while I hold hte bones in place please?" [OOC:] Kiriya says "NOW THAT'S SPAM. :P" [OOC:] Nerak says "is also trying to get it done fast since I am leavign... in about 5 min..." "Gladly, Nerak," Kiriya says obligingly, taking a splint and gently positioning it under the man's leg. "Compound or simple break?" she questions, for that will affect how she wraps it. "It doesn't look very simple to me..." Nerak watches Kiriya, "Compound, the breaks are here" and she points with her fingers to each of the fracture sites. "They feel well aligned at hte moment, but I dont' want to let go until the bandages are just about to go over my hands. OK?" ------------- [OOC:] Nerak says "Ok, his leg is healed...I have to go. bye!"
