Logfile from Nerak. [Healer Chat] Ellora is bored. ;) [Healer Chat] Nerak: awww, sorry! [Healer Chat] Nerak: looking for RP?? [Healer Chat] Ellora: Yes! [NerakChat] Jassay nods.... You go to the Healer Lounge. Ellora is here. Nerak walks into the Lounge, looking for a big mug of klah... She is tired, had a long infirmary shift... she sees nothing as she walks straight for the klah pot. Once her mug is filled, she takes it and walks over to the comfy chairs and picks one to plop into. It is then she notices that there is someone in the room. "Hello, I don't think we've met. I'm Journeywoman Nerak. Welcome!" [NerakChat] Nerak: cool! Come on down to the lounge... we'll play darts! [NerakChat] Jassay mrfs and needs to think of a reason..... [NerakChat] Nerak: say you're coming to talk to me about your project! [NerakChat] Jassay: Well, htat'd work [NerakChat] Nerak: hehe... yep! Jassay walks in from the Healer Great Hall. [NerakChat] Jassay snickers [NerakChat] Nerak: hehe.. Ellora seems to have managed to find herself a plant, a pot, and some soil. With a little tender ministration, all three have been combined, and now sit on one of the tables strewn about the room. The young woman--if she can be called such--leans forward on folded elbows to gaze lovingly on the green thing as though it were a beloved pet. She starts at the greeting, head snapping in the direction of the voice as a sheepish smile gently tugs at her lips. "Hi," she greets softly, voice husky as though little used. Welcome!" (repost for Jassay) Jassay enters the lounge as well, following the other two. "Good day Journeywoman Nerak," she offers to her mentor, whilst giving a smile to Ellora. [OOC:] Jassay mrfs, crud pose Nerak takes a sip of her klah, and looks up as the girl answers. She is just about to say something else when Jassay walks in. "Good day, Jassay. What brings you to visit?" she says, smiling. Ellora gently traces the center of a leaf before picking the plant up from the table and tucking it into the crook of her elbow. She slips from the seat to join the others around the klahpot, though she doesn't indulge in the stimulant, herself. Jassay offers a grin towards Nerak. "I actually came to see if I might be able to get a few ideas on my project," she notes with a chuckle before she pours herself a mug of klah. "How've you been?" this is directed towards the two Mosiah casually saunters in from the Healer Great Hall. Nerak watches, smiling, as the girl joins them. "So, you're new here in the hall, aren't you? What's your name?" She doesn't want to seem to be grilling the new apprentice, but maybe she needs direct questions to answer... shy? "Oh, Jassay, I'm sure I can offer some help. I'm glad you came! After all, that 's what mentors are for! What do you have in mind?" Ellora looks up at Jassay, recognition dawning in her eyes with the slow spread of a smile. She nods to the other SeaCliffsian. Nerak's question brings an exasperated look to her face and she slaps her forehead with a dull *smack*. With yet another sheepish smile, she sets her plant aside and offers a still-begrimed hand in greeting. "I'm Ellora." The new part is rather obvious. It is the sound of flip-flop sandals that herald the appearance of Mosiah, fluttering away as he enters the lounge. He makes it only so far within before unceremoniously dropping onto a plush chair, sideways, landing so that long stork-like legs drape over the arm. "Evening," he calls, lifting a hand up to stifle a yawn. Jassay chuckles slightly. "I thought I recognized you," she notes. "I'm Jassay, senior apprentice healer," she notes with a grin. "I was thinking, maybe, somehow, arranging a trip of some sort," she notes with a shrug towards nerak, before offering a wave to Mosiah. Nerak looks up as Mosiah enters, "Hello Mosiah, how are you today? You look tired." She turns to Ellora and grins, "Nice to meet you Ellora, if you have any questions or problems, stop me anytime you see me. I'd be happy to help you!" She turns as Jassay makes her suggestion. "Hmm, a trip? Sounds nice. I know many of us need to get away! Especially after how busy the infirmary has been lately. What were you thinking?" Ellora, a being of few words, waves to the entering Mosiah. She smiles at Nerak, nods to indicate that she heard and understands, then lets the Journeywoman be with a slight giggle for the show of divided attention. Folding her hands laxly behind her, she turns her attention then to Jassay, interest on her face. "To SeaCliffs?" she suggests. Mosiah is back from the heathen climate of High Reaches and all he gets is a wave. You'd think they would at least wonder how he is managing to survive such a beastly place, let alone a Weyr. Ah, but Jessay's wave is earned a twiddle-fingered reply of sorts. Could be a wave, like you would see from a little. Oh, but Nerak's polite query earns a weary, near-dramatic sigh, "Tired? I could bounce off the walls I'm so full of barely-leashed energy." Or something. "How fairs Ista?" This, naturally, is meant for the room at large. "No need to raise your hands. Just shout it out." Jassay turns and chuckles. "I was thinking someplace a bit more out of the way," a shrug is given. "But, I don't know how feasable it is," hence, why she'S at ista to visit Nerak. "As for how Ista's doing... no idea, I'm not posted here." a shrug is given. "though, other than that, I'm clueless." Nerak smiles at Mosiah, "Ista is doing well, as always, but we miss our Jmen who leave us for better and ... colder... places! How are the Reaches, anyways? I hear it is always cold up there. Barely-leashed energy, eh? You look exhausted!" She smiles. Her attention is then back on her mentee. "Hmm, someplace out of the way, eh? How about Paradise in Southern? I hear it's beautiful down there. We could maybe get some 'riders to help us.... Or find a place around here that is out of the way. Sounds nice to me!" and she smiles yet again... then takes a sip of her klah. Ellora stares at Mosiah--so long that she misses Jassay's dismissal of her suggestion. She snatches up her plant, tucking it back into the crook of her elbow. Abandoning it, even for a moment, would be bad. She glances at Nerak, though her attention is turned towards the other, more curious Journeyman, and frowns. She shuffles up to the back of the chair in which Mosiah perches, and rests her plant atop the curve. She leans in, her cheeks flushed in embarassment. "Where's... where's 'Reaches? Is it far?" Okay, so she never paid much attention in geography. Mosiah consults his fingernails as he waits for the others to speak, picking at the nails of one hand with the fingers of his other hand. The young man peers over his digits to Jessay, staring at her oddly. "Not Istan?" Who would have thunk it? "Then what are you doing here and why is Nerak trying to take you away?" Well, seeing as the explanation wasn't voiced, he has to ask. He flashes the other Journeyman a wry grin, "Wonderful. And not cold at all. Give it a couple of months. Then I'll be asking my candi-mates to take me down here quite regularly." At the approach of the unfamiliar Ellora, the journyman allows his head to roll back, his long braid of hair tumbling off the chair's arm to dangle. And as such, he speaks to her, "Terribly far, or so they say. Never takes me longer than a trip to the privy though." Jassay listens to Nerak, before offering a nod. "That's a good idea, actually, someplace to the south," she notes, taking a slight sip of her klah. "But, the thing to do, is what would be done that's healerish?" At that she turns towards Mosiah. "Actually, I'm trying to work on a trip or something, for people, healers, or something like that," she notes. Nerak looks at Ellora and grins, "Seacliffs, eh? I've never been there either. I'm a bit of a local, and have only visted a few places since coming here to the Hall." She chuckles at Mosiah's comment about how long it takes him to get here. "Moe, it takes you the blink of time in :between: to get here. How is candidacy going? Is this group as rowdy as those at Ista Weyr? I gave a few of that crew their physicals, and realized that Hytiaf has a handfull over there!" She says with a smile. She grins at Mosiah, "I'm not trying to steal Jassay away, I'm her new mentor, and she's asking me for some help on her Journeyman project. I told her to hitch a ride here whenever she has some free time so we can talk about it. What do you think of her idea? Ellora's eyes widen perceptibly in her pale, befreckled face. She knew there were places so far away she'd never dreamed of visiting, but she never imagined people actually came from them. Her mouth forms a surprised 'o,' but nothing comes out. Nerak's question is something of a relief and she nods slowly, still working her mind over the idea of this 'Reaches. "A pleasure jaunt!" Moe sing-songs after hearing Jessay's explanation. "If it involves doing absolutely nothing on a picturesque beach and a cabana girl, sign me up. I'll do anything to improve on this tan." And so show the group what Reaches is doing to him, fingers curl around the bottom hem of his shirt and hike it up to show a rather extensive expanse of abs, not exactly toned but actually sunken in, and did I forget to mention white? Yes, pale. He blinks owlishly at Nerak, and again for good measure. "Oh! For the love of little green redfruit, Faranth no! I still wear the proud knot of a Journeyman." If he wears a candidate knot one more time he, for real, will go certifiably insane. "And I had the pleasure of seeing Serafa over to Ista about a month ago, completely by chance." During his 'sabbatical' care of abandoning Kihaelth. As he gazes up at Ellora from his lower vantage point still, and has a wonderfull view into her mouth at her 'O', the healer rumanges in a pocket and then plucks out a sweetstick to offer her. "Here. Fill that." Yes, a sweetstick, offered by a Healer. Jassay chuckles slightly as she listens to moe's bit. "Well, it was an idea, though I'm not sure how, or even if it'll work," she notes with a grin. "I hope it will, but..." a shrug is given. [OOC:] Nerak says "sorry, thought you were a candie again... wasn't keeping up..." [OOC:] Mosiah laughs and thinks Moe is done going SO. :) Nerak grins at Moe's description of the retreat planned... "I don't think it'll all be tans and cobanna girls, Moe. It'll involve classes and demonstrations as well. You could do a class on what it's like working in a weyr! That'd be nice, and you can do it shirtless to work on your tan!" she says, and chuckles. "We wouldn't mind, honest!" She chuckles again as Ellora's mouth is effectively filled with the sweetstick. She turns to Jassay, "I think it is a wonderful idea. We could put up a sign-up sheet here in the Lounge for people to sign up for classes to teach and to take." Ellora starts at the offer, then beams, displaying a mouthful of slightly crooked whites. Moe has just made a friend for life. The sweetstick is plunked into her mouth and the pot once again pressed carefully against her side before she plops her tush on the arm of the chair not occupied by Mosiah's person. She listens only partially to the conversation, not quite understanding the reason for excitement. Classes? Aren't those the things she and her sister used to avoid back home? "Well, if Nerak can't help you on in some places, I can call in a few favors here and there." Moe is connected? Well, we just won't go there today. "Although sometimes the higher-ups around here tend to do things oddly. I put in a request about... oh, five turns ago now about them fixing that air pocket in the entrance hallway. Still there, although it is real sneaky about it. Sometimes it'll trip you coming in on the left, sometimes it won't even be there. They still haven't fixed it." The healer seems to wince at the idea of classes. Don't they ever talk about anything else around here. Obviously this isn't a healer into the 'teaching' aspect of healering. "Can I demonstrate how to repair a bloody trauma? Of course, we'll need someone to be a trauma victim, but that isn't any harder than pushing someone off the drum heights." Sounds like he is serious too. "What do you think.... Uh... Betsy? Its Betsy, right?" He, naturally, is talking to Ellora. Yep, naturally. Jassay grins and nods. "Ooh, that's a good idea," seh notes with a chuckle. "A sign up sheets for people who want classes," she turns towards Moe and offers a grin. Scawy journeyman. Nerak shakes her head, smiling.. "You're connected Moe? I never knew that! I actually talked to the idea with Master Aerrin a few days ago, and she said she'd talk to Master Jaqui for me. I'm still fairly new at this mentoring thing, so she offered to help me. Believe me, I need the help! Especially helpign someone do their Jman project when I've only just finished mine!" and chuckles, "I'm doing my best though... and yes, teaching , classes and demonstrations are part of a convention of sorts. We could ask if anyone would be interested in having an bloody trauma... but I'm not sure how many volunteers you'd get!" she says, and laughs... no many people in their right mind would volunteer for that... She grins at Ellora, "And he has a wonderful memory for names too, Ellora. You can see that." Ellora grins, the expression almost vacant, at Moe, and shakes her head vehemently. "A healer can't hurt, only help," she recites. She's learned that much, at least, since she's been at the Hall. "And I'm Ellora," she adds, suddenly realizing that he'd futzed her name. "Not Betsy." Get it right, Bub. She nods succinctly, including Nerak in the gesture. Mosiah should really come to torment those of Ista more often. The people of Reaches are so screwed up as it is, that he just seems normal up there. "Sign-up sheets? As in, actually placing my name upon something and making some sort of promise?" *whine-whine-whine* "Well, if you write my name upon it..." Maybe this helping out thing will just be a little bit too time consuming. "Just let me know when. You know where to /Reach/ me." He flickers a glance back to Ellora, "Sorry. You looked like a Betsy to me. I'm Moe. Or Mosiah. Whatever one happens to pass your lips first. I come to each, and a few other names, but if you yell 'Hey, dimglow' I won't respond." Jassay chuckles slightly. "Hey, there's no better way to learn than to experiance it yourself," she points out with a grin. "And I'm inclined to agree I know I wouldn't volunteer for that job," nod, grin. "And, ellora, watch out for the journeymen or higher at this place." Nerak chuckles at Moe's pun, "Very funny, Moe! We'll let you know when the event will be, and see if you can clear your busy schedule for her hard work pulling all of this together." She smiles at Jassay, "What do you mean watch out for us? What is that supposed to mean?" she asks, grinning. "We don't bite... much." now is in a full-blown smile. "And I agree... experiencing it is much better than just learning it. The experience sticks in your head better." as is told by the numerous Midwifery classes that have babies born right in the middle of the class... "Dimglow Moe," Ello dubs the Journeyman with a giggle. Jassay's comment receives another blank look. "Why?" she asks. Ah, innocence. "Bite?" is asked of Nerak, the adolescent frowning. Why would anyone want to bite her? She looks down at Moe from her perch on the chair arm, head canted in query. Mosiah's grin widens at Jessay's last words, "I wish you told me that when I first joined up. Aerrin did an excellent job of eating me up and spitting me out. 'Watch out' she says... pah!" At the mention of biting, the journeyman winces quite noticeably, "Human mouths are absolutely riddled with germs. Most dangerous bite is a human's. Me? I'd rather be bitten by some blue dragon than have Betsy here gnaw on my elbow. No offense Be -I mean Ellora." Jassay shakes her head as she listens to Moe. "Yes,they bite, they bite hard, especially certain ones known as Jathen," nod. [OOC:] Jassay mrfs, I'm a bit busyish.. that's why my poses are short. Nerak laughs at Moe's new nickname... hehe... she turns to Ellora, "No, dear. We really don't bite! It is just an expression... then again, Maybe Moe might..." is said, then she chuckles. "Just kidding. I'll agree, there are some Jmen and higher to watch out for, especially the one with the knives" and she shivers, thinking back at the flying knives during her lessons... and flashes a wink to Jassay, knowing they are thinking abuot the same Sr. Journeyman. Ellora drops from her perch at the mention that her new companion might bite. Her free hand goes to the stick of the sucker in her mouth as she assesses the lounging Journeyman. "Ellora," she corrects, then slurps around the treat. "Knives?" she asks, head whipping up in alarm. What did she get herself into, here? "Seeing as I've never had the pleasure of having Sudanna's 'mate bite me, I'll have to trust you on that one, Jessay." Moe flickers a glance back over to Nerak, grin quirking to the side, "Never in my life. Unless it was a love nip. But those don't count, and even I am not going to tell you what goes on behind closed doors." He chuckles faintly, glancing to Nerak, "Some Healers use weaponry, I do my best to rot the students' teeth and drum up business for our more tooth-conscious of the craft." As Ellora now knows. Jassay snickers, yes, she's heard of knives. "Or trundlebugs, don't forget trundlebugs," she notes with a grins. "But, yes, knives are just as fun," mmph, can't yah see, she'll be an angelic journeyman. "I haven't either," she notes with a headshake. "I've just seen the trundlebugs, and what not," nod. Nerak shakes her head, "Now, now. We really musent scare the poor girl. Noone here bites, some of the Journeymen adn Masters are, well, theatrical while teaching. Sr. Journeyman Jathen tends to throw knives in his classes to mark the point he is making. He never has hit anyone yet, but he makes his point! Just a quick note, you never want to challenge him to a game of Darts!" she says, laughing and remembers the night she did... and was humiliated. "I was in the room with the trundlebug incident, and I was scared witless... there /were/ a lot of bugs! I, personally, don't have a certain way I teach, other than trying to answer as many questions as the student has before they ask them!" and grins. Ellora blanches at the idea of a teacher throwing knives in the middle of a class. She makes a note to stay as far away from that particular Sr. Journeyman as she can. Another Look is cast at Mosiah before the girl retakes her seat on the arm of his chair, repositioning the sucker in his mouth. He gives out candy. He can't be all that bad. "Trundlebugs are good," she protests quietly. Mosiah chuckles softly from where he is still draped over the chair. "I don't even want to know about the bugs," Moe announces, just to make sure that they know this. Bugs. Bleh. "Never met a trundlebug I didn't like, but I'd sooner not come across any. They smell like Aerrin's feet after a couple of days, you know." And someone be sure to tell her that too. Jassay nods her agreement. "Yes, I remember that," of course she does. "And I hear that Master aerrin had a few words for the sr. journeyman," is noted with a grin. "And you know what her feet smell like?" Nerak shakes her head at Ellora, "They are not good when 2 entire glass jars full of them are thrown in a room during a slumber party! We were all scared witless! We were all quite glad he got in trouble for doing that! We know they are good for many things, but startling people isn't a way I'd like to see them!" She then turns to Moe, "You know what her feet smell like? ewww..." she says. bizarre... "They won't hurt you," Ellora replies, though it's a tentative rejoinder, since she knows how some react to her favorite creatures. She grins down at Mosiah, filing away his fear for a later date. Mosiah gives Nerak a wide grin, that really doesn't explain anything at all. Oh no, Moe isn't scared of bugs. Its the things with furr that drive him batty. Allergies, you know. There is a grunt and a heave as the healer pushes out of his seat, one hand flicking back his long braid of dark hair. "It's been a pleasure, but I came to raid the stores for some gauze and vials for Reaches. Give me half a candlemark, then send the Masters after me." And with that, he patters out the exact same way he pattered in, thong sandles flopping. Mosiah goes home. Nerak nods, "I know, Ellora. But when they come flying at you, it's enough to make you scream, which wakes up some certain Masters who were asleep... you know!" And yawns. She takes another sip of klah. "I dont know how much longer I can stay awake. The whole week the infirmary has been very busy..." She shakes her head, and has a big smile on her face, "Bye Moe, visit more often. do you need any help finding what you came for? Or can you still remember where it is?" Jassay chuckles softly. "seh's right, there good, if they're not flying at you, while you're sitting on the floor," she notes with an eyeroll and grin. Ellora shrugs, having never been bothered by most bugs. Nerak's yawn must be contagious, because Ellora echoes it with one of her own, stifled beneath the back of her hand. Jassay mimics the yawn, definatly contagious. "Mrph, Nerak, don't do that," she notes with a chuckle. Nerak laughs, then yawns. "Well, I guess he didn't need help. I really need to get to sleep. I hope to see both of you ladies again real soon. Jassay, if you need more help, let me know. Visit any time. You can also send a flit w/a message." she laughs, "If I don't get out of this chair soon, I'll fall asleep in it!" she chuckles, and tries to stand up with the now empty klah mug in her hand, but falls back. She laughs, then attempts it again. She looks back at teh apprentices, "I was serious about what I said before, Ellora. If you need anything, find me. I'll help if I can. I'm just newly a Journeywoman, and it feels weird being called by that title. Let me know if I can help you with anything". She then heads towards the door. "Goodnight all! See you around." and walks out. [OOC:] Nerak says "will wait for your poses... then I'll go. I really had fun, we need to do this more often! :)" Ellora nods at Nerak and waves before she's forced to stifle yet another yawn, her sweet, almost gone, perched precariously on the edge of her lips. She slips from the chair's arm, cuddling her new 'pet' close, and shuffles off to bed, but not before nodding goodnight to Jassay. [OOC:] Ellora says "Definitely. :)" Jassay nods and offers a wave after her mentor. "i should be getting back to the hall myself," is noted with a grin as she too stands, but, with a bit more success than the journeywoman did. ERf, stop yawning, cause she's yawning, still. "Goodnight all." [Healer Chat] Nerak: is heading off to bed... night all!
