Logfile from Nerak.

Nerak walks onto the beach, taking deep breaths of the sea water. She sits on a log near the bonfire and lets the sound of the waves relax her. It has been a busy day...

Jassay walks in from the courtyard.

Ellora trots along the beach, bare feet slipping in the sand. It appears she's left her boots somewhere, yet again. One of these days, she's going to lose them and she won't have anything to wear on her feet.

"Evening." Kiriya looks fairly haggard, herself, as she paddles onto the soft Istan sand. Clutching a mug of klah, she goes to join her friend Nerak- "Hey, Nerak. Whatcha been up to?" To some other apprentices, they might use much more respect than that, but Kiriya's known Nerak since Nerak was a lower rank than /she herself/ was, so she speaks as if to an old crony of hers. "Healing got you tired, I guess."

Jassay makes her way out from the courtyard, a book in hand, evidently one of the healer sort. As she steps onto the sand a look about is given, and a wave is offered to all the healer types present. "Hullo," she greets before the girl plops down and begins reading.

Nerak grins, "Yeah, just finished traveling to Seahold to see that Journeyman Geraint and Sr.. appy Mailli from the quake to see how he was doing. His splints are off, and he's walking with a cane. He's using his arm pretty well now! Things look good." She smiles lazily. "I got the Watch Dragon to give me a ride there, wait for me and bring me back. I never realized that betweening took so much out of you!" She hears Jassay walk up behind her, "Hello Jassay, how are you this evening?"

Haggard. Tired. These are not words in Ellora's vocabulary, or so it seems. Even after a day of classes, she greets everyone with a cheery smile, almost childish in its innocence. "Hi," she greets, working her toes into the sand.

"'Tweening's fun when you get the chance, but shards is it cold... and how's Seacliffs? I haven't been there in so long... not counting us assisting Geraint and things like that." Kiriya considers herself an honorary Cliffsian- she got to do part of her Horribly Extensive Journeyman Project there. "Oy, but have I been seeing the /worst/ things lately... some rock crumbles from the quakes a little late and breaks a few people's legs, people get things stuck in places they shouldn't, and whatnot." Sigh.

Jassay offers a grin towards her mentor. "Good evening, and I'm well," is noted from the seated sr. appy. "Just studying," as if that wasn't fairly obvious. Uh oh... it's the cheerful appy, known as Ellora. "Heylo," is given, with a smile. "How are you this evening?" this is addressed to all present. "Betweening's okay, but I've done it far too much, when I had to get from Seacliffs to here," is noted with a chuckle.

Nerak grins, "And, Kiri, you'd never guess what happened while I was there! While I was checking out Geraint's leg, one of his Advisors, Tseyrin, just up and handed him the Crafthead charm! Then he turned around and gave a journeyman's charm to Mailli not 2minutes later! It was quite exciting!" She is grinning full force now!

"Crafthead?" Enticed by the mention of SeaCliffs, Ellora tunes in to the conversation at hand. However, this.. word, when used in reference to someone at her beloved home draws a blank. Her eyes boggle. "Geraint's a Crafthead?"

"So that shy little senior apprentice who moped at the sight of blood got a journeyman charm? Ahhh, very intriguing," Kiriya replies with a wide grin. "Shards, people getting promoted left and right, I see. His leg alright?" she inquires with a lifted eyebrow.

[OOC:] Jassay errs and hasta take off.... sorry Jassay goes home.

Nerak grins, "Yep, they just built a new Dolphin Hall there, and it seems that Geraint has been the one overseeing the building process. Tseyrin gave him the Crafthead charm saying, 'Your full duties officially begin when the healers announce you fit, of course.' So, of course, I had to declare him fit for light duty! Both his arm and his leg have some interesting coloring." she laughs, "He no longer has the splints, and uses a cane to walk, but he is doing well. His legs feels as if the bone is knitting well." She chuckles, "You should have seen how fast he jumped up to get the charm!" She turns to Jassay and smiles, "I really never have betweened much... What are you studying tonight, mentee dear?"

[Healer Chat] Ellora just keels over. 'fit for light duty'. Gah. My work has come to haunt me. ;p

[Healer Chat] Nerak: eh?

[Healer Chat] Nerak: did you say that to someone? Ellora?

[Healer Chat] Ellora grins. I work in a workman's comp office. ;p

[Healer Chat] Ellora: And I'm sure that means nothing to you. :p

[Healer Chat] Nerak: ah... I see! hehe.. I thought you said it here! hehe

[Healer Chat] Nerak: as a Physical Therapist, it actually means a LOT to me! argh!

[Healer Chat] Ellora snickers.

Ellora continues to boggle at Nerak. "At SeaCliffs?" She has to make sure they're talking about the same place, here. "A Dolphin Hall?" She frowns, trying to figure out how long she's been gone.

Nerak grins, "I guess so! I was in it today. It looks very new!" she chuckles. "I saw people sitting around looking at maps and drawings as to what it was going to look like when it was done.

"Seacliffs dolphinhall? Ooooh, interesting... to augment the one here, I wager." Kir then turns to Nerak. "Hey, remember Telfer, my weirdo cousin? He was a phincrafter before he quit and became a bartender."

Ellora sighs, her expression falling. She tugs at the bib of her overalls and digs her feet deeper into the sand. "Oh," she replies softly. Her cheeks flushing with the embarrassment of uncertainty, she ventures, "Going back?"

Nerak smiles, "Yep, I think it's wonderful that they are opening a second hall... Yeah, I remember Telfer, I dont' see him around much, even if I'm in the Mug!" she kicks her shies off to bury her feet in the sand. "Ellora, I really dont' know if I'm going back. I honestly was just checking on how well his arm and leg were healing."

"He transfers 'tween the Cloudscraper and the Mug." Kiriya grins as she downs the rest of her klah. "If you do, take me with you- I'd like to see that place again. Y'know. Say h'lo to Iona, Master Taree, Leigh, Oadatrouff, and the lot." She's fairly familiar with Seacliffs, yup.

Nerak grins, "I really have never been there except to help out with the rescue efforts. I really don't know how I was chosen to go, since I have no knowledge of Seacliffs, but I guess it was due to Coco, who is trained in rescue." she says, shrugging her shoulders.

Ellora opens her mouth to offer her own assistance when Kiriya beats her to it. Still, she blurts, "I wanna go, too!" then subsides once more.

"Hm. Ellora, you're from Seacliffs, aren't you? Probably much more familiar than either Nerak or I," Kiriya comments as she sets down her klah mug in a depression of sand. "Y'could show me some of the less familiar parts of Cliffs that I might not have been to, maybe."

Nerak shakes her head, "I guess if the two of you wish to go, I can go and take a look at Geraint's injuries again, to make sure he is not overworking himself... but not for another sevenday at least... I was just there this morning... Then again, we are sorely lacking supplies here, due to the meteor and all... maybe they have some supplies that we can bring back with us..." She laughs. "You girls... sound as if you have gentlemen there that you miss desperately!"

Ellora brightens at Nerak's offer. She nods emphatically before dropping down beside Kiriya. "The caves.." she whispers with the youthful delight of one who has done quite a bit of exploration. The journeyman's comment draws a blank stare from the girl. "Gentlemen?"

"A few. Friends of mine I met during my tenure there," Kiriya replies. Nerak knows which gentleman she misses horribly. And who she is going to promptly dump the next time she sees him- it'll have been over a Turn. "Ooooh. Caves? I didn't know Cliffs had /those/...."

Nerak laughs, "Just an expression, Ellora. I'd actually love a tour myself. Being a Journeywoman, I really don't know much about the other holds... I suppose I should travel more." She chuckles as Kiriya responds. "I don't think it's /that/ bad, is it Kiri? Does he know?"

Ellora blinks, still confused, at Nerak, then shrugs it off. She'll get it some day, or she won't. Until then... To Kiriya, she grins and nods. "Caves. Lots of them. With a lake, and lost stuff."

"Lake? Shards, I have to see this, Ellora," replies Kiriya with a wide grin. "Lost stuff- ah, hidden treasure crops up in the most wonderful places." The braided young lass sighs happily. "What I wouldn't give to go back to Seacliffs..."

Nerak grins, "Wow, lost treasures in a lake? Sounds wonderful..." is said, but not felt. She still is uncomfortable with swimming. She never really learned...

Ellora sighs, that single sound imbued with all of Ellora's homesickness. "Someday," she whispers, then forcefully brightens. "Not in the lake," she replies with a laugh.

"Of course not... I don't think I could dive that deeply, of course," Kiriya laughs. "In the caves... wonder what kind of wonders would be inside... just think! Marks, gold, silver, diamonds, sapphires, rubies..." You can tell she's probably fantasizing.

Nerak grins, "Ah... we can fill Coco's pack! Dogs are good walking around in caves." She grins to herself...

"Sounds nice..." Ellora stares at Kiriya, then grins. "Oh, nothing like that," she replies, rocking back on her rear. She kicks her feet out in front of her and waggles her toes.

Nerak sighs, "Well, it was fun to think about!" She shivers, "I think I'm going to go inside in a few minutes.. I have a meeting with Master Aerrin tonight. Figures, now that I'm a Journeywoman, I have to deal with ... Meetings..."

"Cave formations, I suppose, then..." Kiriya gets a little more imaginative. "Some of 'em look like boiled eggs and others like dragons' teeth... so fanciful, really." The braided senior apprentice chuckles and turns to Nerak. "Oh, yes. Coco's quite good."

Nerak laughs, "Well, I see it's about time for me to go... Have a nice evening ladies. Start up a bonfire before it gets too cold!" She says as she stands up and dusts the sand off of her pants. She dumps the sand out of her shoes and mumbles, "I'll put these back on when I'm out of the sand..." she waves as she walks away... "Good night girls.!"
