The Moon card signifies the feeling of alienation or insanity.  The person is facing something otherworldly.  The person isn't coping well with the world.  Deception, Obscurity, Intuition, Danger, Bad influence, Ulterior motives, False friends, Slander, Libel, and Unknown enemies. Confusion. Disorientation. The Moon reigns over the mysterious world of shadow and night.  The Moon inspires and enchants.  It holds out the promise that all you imagine can be yours.  It guides you to the unknown so you can allow the unusual into your life.  The Moon also stands for confusion and anxiety - the ones that come in the darkest part of the night.  It is easy to lose your way in the moonlight.  The Moon can be a symbol that you are lost and wandering aimlessly.

When reversed it means a minor deception recognized before damage is done.  Overcoming bad temptation.  Rape, thievery, covert action, robbery or loss. Suicide, murder, violence.
