The Fool is innocence.   The Fool stands on the edge of a precipice and is not watching where he is going because he is too busy watching a butterfly - signifying that the Fool is not supposed to have a goal.  The Fool represents the complete faith that life is good and worthy of trust.  His innocence sustains him and brings him joy.   The Fool is unpredictable and full of surprises.  He reminds us of the unlimited potential and spontaneity in life. The Fool can signal new beginnings and the excitement that goes along with it.  The Fool forges his way ahead with complete faith and reckless abandon, assured he will reach his dreams.

  When the Fool is reversed: be careful of getting involved with bad company or going off the deep end.
