Where is Father Christmas
Not at the midnight mass
December 25 is here
Here and there a loud cheer
Opening our presents
To us Father Christmas sent
Soon after's the New Year
The 31st is near
Preparing parties, everyone is
Trying to make the night his
Champagne flowing in glasses
Everyone losing senses
Music playing out loud
Having to talk aloud
The first bang of midnight
Fire crackers lighting up the night
What a magnificent sight
January 1st seems so bright
And the New Year too might
