My island is called Mauritius
Fresh coconuts are delicious
The beaches are beautiful
And the shining sun harmful
The beautiful extinct dodo
Protection of nature is our logo
Tourists are welcome with kindness
Enchanted by the island's loveliness
Mauritius isn't so perfect
It is not secret
That the currency is low
And the economy about to blow
The Government is null
Everything is dull
Cars and computers are so dear
Homeless people looking like a bear
I don't care what tourists say
About Mauritius today
Coz either way
I hate my island
