Job Summary: Responsible for coordinating all Regulatory/Registration activities worldwide for assigned products and providing technical expertise and support to internal personnel on matters related to product Chemistry, Residue Chemistry and Metabolism.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate all regulatory/registration activities worldwide for assigned products. Oversee preparation of dossiers and position papers needed to support registration of assigned products with various regulatory agencies including the EU. Provide advice and input to Tomen personnel on technical areas such as Product Chemistry, Residue Chemistry, and Metabolism.
Develop protocols, and works with outside laboratories and consultants to generate data or prepare regulatory position documents and reports. Represent Tomen at various technical meetings or committees such as FAO Working Group on Specifications, IUPAC, etc.

Position Summary: The position will administer/manage the network, client-server Waters Millennium32 Chromatography Data System supporting the QC and R&D department analytical activities. Responsibilities will include implementing/maintaining/troubleshooting the Chromatography Data System (instrument hardware connectivity and application software), on-going application training, data file archiving, routine and system upgrade re-qualification, drafting/maintaining system policy SOPs, and supporting specific user application requests, and laboratory compliance (cGxPs). Will also perform other laboratory duties such as instrument (HPLC/GC/CE) workstation administration and laboratory software validation.
Qualifications: Minimum of a BS/BA in Physical/Life Sciences or relevant degree with a minimum 6 years relevant experience or a MS degree with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience preferred. Experience using analytical laboratory instrumentation, specifically HPLC, and managing computerized chromatography data systems in a regulated laboratory environment is required. Regulatory knowledge of cGxPs, USP, FDA and ICH required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Familiarity with computer systems using either Windows NT or 2000 in a client-server network environment is needed. Knowledge of TCP/IP basics, databases, programming and other operating environments is a plus. Must be able to work in a fast-paced and team environment.

Development of analytical procedures, assays, and methods, that will be used to test pharmaceuticals during manufacturing. Contributes to experimental design, interpretation of data and documentation for transfer of technology to manufacturing. Writes new analytical procedures to comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices. Communicates analytical development results at group meetings. Reviews scientific literature and references to aid in scientific developments. May act in a lead capacity and train lower level staff.
Requirements: BS or MS degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry with a minimum of 5-10 years experience in analytical or organic chemistry. Demonstrated experience in HPLC, GC, MS, CE, and other analytical techniques is required. A solid background in chromatographic methods development and validation required. Previous experience with Mass Spectroscopy techniques desirable. Strong inter-personal and team work skills are necessary. Effective verbal and written communication skills required. EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry experience.
