The Three Glass Puzzle

There are three glasses on the table - 3, 5, and 8 oz. The first two are empty, the last contains 8 oz of water. By pouring water from one glass to another make at least one of them contain exactly 4 oz of water.

To move water from one glass to another, first choose the glass you want to "Pour from", then choose the glass you want to "Pour into". The volume in each of the glasses will be automatically recalculated. You will get flashing arrows in all three boxes when you are successful.

Current volume in each glass:
3 oz glass
5 oz glass
8 oz glass
Pour from
Pour into

After solving the above puzzle, for additional fun, you can modify the puzzle conditions, i.e. capacities of glasses 1, 2, and 3, and the target volume. Press the "Define" button to lock in your choices.
