The Tomb of Tutankhamen
I had a hell of a time getting these pix to come out right... and they still look like crapola... which is why there are a few listed here. They really dont do this painting justice... at all.
Damn digi cams and their groutesque pixels.
Anyhow, this is a painting I... uhhh... painted, first over a year ago and then I revised it about week ago. It took me a reallly long time to paint this. Between both times, were looking at about a weeks worth of painting, give or take. Its sort of a cartocuhe, it has hieroglyphs of all my family members names in it (4 of us in all) as well as many symbols of Egypt. On the sides are several different gods, and smack dab in the middle of the top is the king Tutankhamen's face. It sort of resembles his sarcophagus, with the exception of all the added tidbits I threw in it and he holds no crook and flail in this. Above him, is the sun. Once again, there is the starry sky of Nut and a crescent moon to the right middle, as shown on the Arab flag (crescent and star). There is a pyramid on the middle/bottom of the sarcophagus, but you will never see it in these pix (well ok a little bit) In the middle of the painting there are two women with golden wings outstrecthed towards one another... these symbols come from the ark of the covenant... or what it is said to look like, since no one has really seen it, cept of course Moses and other ancient peeps, but lets face it, we cant ask them. There are palm trees on the left and right side. It also has an Ibis on the left hand bottom side. Again, the winged solar disk, depicting Horus in the middle underneath the sarcophagus. On the left side of the first pic, you will see dead flowers... lol... Pay no attention to them, as they have no symbolic meaning... though I suppose they could maybe represent mummification or somethin... lmao. The middle pic shows some detail but the bottom is cut off, but the last pic is, by far, the best of the three...
if you can believe that any of em are really good. lol.
Back to my art gallery
