O B L I V I O N

Feuding jester, indignant emotion

Climbing the walls, ridiculous notion

Sent to the jungle, repetitive strain

Falling asleep like plummeting rain

Such an atrocity, too far to go

What you reap is what you sow

The act of a mime, unspoken word

The thought of it droll and somewhat absurd

Flying with raptor, what a jolly good time

The smell in the air of lavender pine

Lets go on a magic carpet ride

Peacock flares his plumage wide

Play chess with a dragon that cheats

Using egg cartons for theatre seats

Plastic trees and cotton flowers

Stained glass flags upon tall towers

Sun which weeps because of the moon

Walk into the light, impending doom

The horizon ends, engulfed behind

Primordial threads, a rip in time

Shaking of hands with genuine grin

The atmosphere changes, seemingly thin

Icy peaks with jagged edge

Speaking words of an asinine pledge

Hail fire crumbles with reckless hues

Lets soar through the havoc we have nothing to lose

Places most distant, an alarming scene

Your addiction you love and of it you dream

Glue on the courage, just a dab will do

Blue Martian man with a scorpion tattoo

A paradox of humor, catastrophe

Giving me lip, the third degree

Bellydancing to the sound of thunder

Cut me in half, the pieces asunder.
