ATLAN AND CALLIOPE
Two fish in the bottom of the sea
half human half sea creatures
swim free of fisherman nets
With strange mer-like features

They dont know each other very well
but fate works in mysterious ways
they are meant for a destiny
In the coming days

He is a warrior, brave and strong
she is a maiden mermaid
Years apart in their very souls
that time soon to fade

A shark swims in the water
as the two are nearby
the shark chases them
the two almost die

They escape by a spear
made from a sunken ship
Atlan he saves the day
with a finely executed flip

She feels safe he saved her life
and a fast friendship hath grown
into something much much deeper
the seeds of love were sewn

These two were never apart
Always being together
Till the evil Squid man
Set to split them apart forever

He took the girl and ran away
to an evil cave in an undertow
he set to let her fall beneath
would hold her there then let go

She would be lost for an eternity
there is no way to escape one of those
Atlan came in the nick of time
To see the squid in such a pose

Swiftly he swam with the dolphins
He saved her again as hed planned
the dolphins head~butted the squid
to another ocean was he banned

They swam home and only to find
another problem to overcome
till they would surely be
completely and utterly as one

There was a witch of a barracuda
she was evil and held infinite power
She was going to take over the city
Within the hour

She saw them and took up her wand
to cast a horrid ugly spell
As she pointed it at them
to an underground passageway they fell

Calliope she knew this place
twas her fathers Treasure trove
she knew all the passageways in the castle
In the mer-town of seasnake cove

They got a weapon and used it well
Went back to the room with their foe
Atlan held on to the spear
then aimed and swiftly let go

He got her right on, into her heart
green blood did sprout out her vein
As they stood and watched this whole scene
They knew she would never hurt again

So they got married, two months later
And ruled the great palace as one
All was well in the sea as it should be
Their quest was finally done.
