New Year's Day (January 1) - Celebrating the start of a new year, full of new surprises and second chances at life. Often celebrated with family and loved ones while contemplating the actions and memories of the prior year and making plans for the next.

Promise Day (February 14) - A day resereved for celebrating love, especially love between soulmates. Celebrated with that special someone, generally through the exchange of small gifts, renewal of wedding vows, or initializing a relationship with someone new.

Prank Festival (April 1) - The day that all tricksters (amateur and professional) look forward to. Ideally celebrated with anyone with a good sense of humour by pulling pranks and practical jokes of all types.

Summer Solstice (June 22) - A day reserved for rest and relaxation. To be celebrated in whatever way makes one the happiest.

Coronation Day (July 4) - Celebrating the crowning of the first king of the world-spanning Acorn Kingdom. Often celebrated by setting off fireworks, including the annual spectacular fireworks display held in the courtyards of Acorn Castle.

Spirit Eve (October 31) - Based on an ancient day of the dead festival (amongst several other old traditions), this holiday has both spiritual (reflecting on one's ancestors) and secular (dressing up as various ghouls and ghosties) sides. Generally celebrated at night.

Winter Solstice (December 22) - Much like the Summer version, a day for rest and relaxation. This holiday has also absorbed a few other ancient festivals that used to fall around the same date so that its celebration often includes the trading of gifts among friends and family, the decoration of buildings and trees with colored lights, and general thanks being given for all the good things that the past year has brought.
