  33. Origin Systems, and Lord British
    Ultima Underworld I, II
These games last forever!! I'm still trying to finish #2 (but I bought it only a year ago...and it did sit on the shelf for a while, but very good. At the time it was made, it was better than anything on the market)

  34. EA Sports
    NHL 98
Saw it, never played it, looked good.

  35. Activision
    Battlezone
    never played it

  36. SSI
    Panzer General II
    Never played it.

  37. Westwood Studios
    Command & Conquer: Red Alert
One of the Most Incredible games, yet. This one's the prequel to Command & Conquer, while the Sequel, 'Command & Conquer 2: Tiberian Sun' has not been shipped yet

  38. Epic MegaGames
    UNREAL
MY-O-MY-O-MY! This game is addicting! It's got enough multiplayer support to make your headswim, along with computer deathmatch opponents for those of us who are modemless, and many different monsters of 'eh heh heh heh' ALL SHAPES and SIZES!

  39. Jane's Combat Simulations
    Longbow 2
Never played it, but I WILL SOON!!!

  40. Access Software
    Links LS '98
    Golf game

  41. Lucasarts
Sam & Max Hit the Road
looks strange, but it is a must-have, or so I hear. Never played it, myself.

  42. Blizzard Entertainment
    WarCraft II
This is cute, funny, and, with multiplayer support, so maddeningly irritating that you want to reach into the monitor and grab your opponents' characters and THROTTLE THE LIFE OUTTA ahem. You get the point

  43. Micropose
    X-COM: UFO Defense
played the sequel. A fun little game.

  44. New World Computing
Heroes of Might and Magic II
Like Chess, mixed in with RPG's. Heard it was REALLY GOOD. In fact, PC GAMER MAGAZINE calls it the most dangerously addictive turn-based strategy in the history of PC gaming, with one possible exception.

  45. Origin
    System Shock
This is just, hands down, a very good game. If it had multi-player support, it would've topped doom at the time it came out, easily. The strange thing is, no one knows about it. I, myself never knew until EA decided to make it a 'EA CLASSIC.' And, to top the mocha with cream, I bought the game at a Pawn shop!

  46. Blizzard Entertainment
    StarCraft
This is like Command & Conquer in Space, only better! You can even create your own levels for unlimited replayability!!! I had an idea once, to create a campaign set up where all of your levels start and end with only one of your men, and a bunch of bad guys, like Diablo. Something for y'all to think about.

  47. Lucasarts
    TIE Fighter Collector's CD-ROM
Played one of these games, loved it! Like Doom Deathmatch in space

  48. Id Software
    Quake 2
Played it once. It's alot like UNREAL. I'm not sure which has better graphics, but I like Unreal, better. SORRY

  49. Micropose
    Civilization II
Heard a lot about it, read a lot about it, but never played it! Boo-hoo. This was the possible exception to Heroes of Might and Magic II's bout title in the turn-based strategy department.

  50. AND FINALLY, (although I was NOT suprised in the least, and yet, was suprised that PC GAMER MAGAZINE remembered this game,
    Lucasarts
    JEDI KNIGHT: DARK FORCES II
This is just one of the best games you could ever buy. The game's endings all depend on your choices throughout the game, and yet, it's a 3d shooter! No, wait, it's also a fighting game, too!Multiplayer support allows for Death-by-Lightsaber and just lovely graphics all the way through!!

Back to Games, when you're done nostalgializing or gawking :-)
